There is no weight limit above 200 for a reason too.
Because a 220 lbs man is a lot of a man and has enough power to knock a bull down, and guys above 250 tends to be goofy.
If there was a weight limite at 235 lbs, Fury would just make a 235 lean like he was younger abd beat the sht outta Wilder anyway.
Boxing is not a Sumo contest.
Excuses....
Wilder should have kept his clown a;ss dark vader costume so they would have been the same weight.
Lol to your last line...but Fury did use his weight advantage very well...he was the better man that night though so glad he won.
I see your point man...but there are weight classes for a reason as well

He’s too big to keep him at the end of straight punches while controlling distance and he’s to strong and heavy to allow much grappling. So yes, he’s bigger and stronger than Wilder. Size and strength are Fury’s advantages. I don’t see how anyone could disagree.
The point is that fighting Fury is a lot different than fighting someone who is a similar weight and is shorter or the same height. Plugging in what won for Breland in his career isn’t going to help Wilder much at all. Wilder’s advantaged are power and (should be) mobility. To win, Wilder would have to hit and then move. Saturday he could not do either.
That's is my point.
Fury could adjust, while Wilder could not, Fury won because he has the hearth and the brain of a supreme fighter.
Sure Fury will be heavier, stronger in clinches, that's why you don't let him clinch your a;ss, you have power, you're lighter on your feet, move, punch, I dunno.
Wilder got bullied around by a flabby guy. No excuses...
Better yet should watch the Patrick Day fight , RIP told his trainer after 2 knock downs don’t stop fight then final round tragic 2 punch . DW needs to get humble thank MB for saving him from more damage with 5 more rounds to go .
Can't stand this effing excuse.
If you don't know both fighters and look at their shape, you would favor Wilder over Fury thinking Fury is out of shape.
I would bet on a lean 230 lbs dude over a 270 flabby dude.
Fury carry clearly 40 pounds of tlts and belly over Wilder, dude is 6 9 and flabby.
Wilder at 230, more lean, should be more mobile, and use speed to put hands on Fury.
A 270 man should be an easy target, but no, Mister DW rather not listen to his corner and fight in straight line.
If Wilder beat Fury twice, everybody would say Fury is too heavy and fat, now he's too big and strong.
The only reason why Fury beat Wilder is because he has more inside (head and hearth), he's a smarter, more brave fighter who happens to respect his craft.
Wilder had all the physical tools needed to beat Fury, but not the mind.

Breland likely fought few who were taller than himself. He certainly didn't fight any 40 pounds heavier. The HW division, Fury in particular, poses problems other divisions never see. Most giant boxers are lousy fighters. Fury is a giant who can really fight well. This makes him a BIG problem for everybody he fights. His new trainer and style makes him an even bigger problem for opponents.
Can't stand this effing excuse.

Karma comes fast and DW true colors a man come out as a fighter and a man . Talk about shooting yourself in both feet . What a fool locking out the man who saved you to fight another day . You couldn’t walk and your eyes were all over the place when Bayless jumped in . 2 or 3 more clean punches you be out cold idiot !
Wilder will NEVER ever be able to fight like Breland, again one of the greatest Amateurs of all times and had one of the greatest Jabs this great sport has ever seen.

The Costume should tell you everything you need to know, Wilder is a Stubborn Hardheaded Guy! I'm sure Breland is telling him and trying to teach him all the right things that he learned from Kronk but if the Student don't listen then it doesn't matter WTF the teacher tries to teach them
Absolutely

One of the realist post i have seen in a long time
The thing is Wilder has the athleticism and build to fight the way Breland did.... If he was even half as good a boxer as Breland was then he’d probably be the man of the division. Dare I say it would have been better if he had less power cause then he’d be forced to learn to box more to have success.
This.
I'm no fan of changing what brought you to the dance, but it's apparent that Wilder has regressed in the past few years. Ungodly power & athleticism aren't enough anymore
Changing what you brought to the dance is a GREAT way to put it. Your right that doesn't have to change but evolution is absolutely necessary in this game if your not constantly evolving and improving what your not good at you end up behind the pack instead of leading it. Good post
Personally disgusted by how he has been treated, he's the only one who had Wilder's best interest at heart and the scumbag Deas and Wilder himself threw the poor guy under the bus. What an incredibly dumb man Wilder is
The problem is Jay Deas thinks he knows boxing and insists on training Wilder.
This.

This Breland fellah seems.like a lovely man. Apparently he was distraught after the fight cos Wilder locked him out of the dressing room. It's incredible the way Wilder has acted since Saturday
Didn't know he was locked out or anything like that. Just knew Deas threw him under the bus. I never watch post fight pressers. But yeah, Breland is a good man, good boxing mind, one of the best amateur boxers to ever compete, and had a good pro career. Trained out of Kronk by Manny Steward.
Similar to Tony Harrison in the sense that all of his losses he was dominating the fight before taking a KO.
