The gypsy king really surprised almost everyone with that kind of performance. No one expected him to perform like that and annihilate Wilder the way he did.
As someone rooting for him, i only expected him to box and make Wilder miss most of his punches, same as the first one.. i was just hoping for him to survive and somehow squeak a win against the dangerous bomber, of course the wallin fight can really be misleading.
Now for discussion, which floyd win made you feel the same way? as impressed if not more as last saturday’s fury win over wilder?
For me the closest was the Canelo fight.. i was impressed by how he handled and bossed canelo around. but then again it was a catchweight and canelo was far from his prime yet..
Corrales fight maybe? Other fights he just performed just as good as someone at his level would. thoughts??
corrales was his biggest fight at that point in his career and he stopped him
you answered your own question....end thread/
I consider corrales as his best win. Best win against an absolute prime fighter with no asterisk on it, floyd really stepped up in that fight. Canelo might have been a better win if it was at full 154.. but the corrales fight floyd was the underdog.
stop it.. aint no one ever mention any of those fights lmao!!! floyd's biggest fight of his career = canelo/pac = 12 rounds snooze fest = TBE.
dude, the questionwas did floyd have a win as impressive as last saturday......yes he has i answered the question
if your goal is to detract the best of his generations accomplishments enjoy, im good on bickering....
i said biggest fights at that point of his career, they were more impressive, fury can go on to have bigger wins than wilder too, find someone else to play with kid
....biggest fight to that point in his career.....stopped Corrales dropped him 5 times
first ppv.....stops Gatti in 6
biggest usa vs uk fight in years...stops hatton
floyd is retired, and his resume and skills craps on fury, why is this even a legit threaD?
Have you guys ever followed or watch the mans career before he was in his mid to late 30s

I would say his Corrales win was the biggest of his career. It wasn't as big of a win as Fury/Wilder, but P4P Corrales was a better fighter than Wilder.
Come on this is over the top, Floyd is held to higher standards.... he wouldn't get much credit for beating such an obviously flawed opponent.
if he actually followed floyds career instead of attempt to troll, he'd realize floyd has many impressive wins...these dudes talk about floyd more than his biggest fans smh

GTFO...... Mosley and Oscar were way better wins than Wilder even if they were slightly past their best.
Mosely cracked Floyd good in the 2nd, kept his composure and went on to win.
Ellerbe,
Did he stopped any of those two?
They were undefeated and in his prime?
Oscar gave him a tough fight and could have won if he didn't gassed on later rounds and Floyd did the chicken dance and won by a typical boring decision against Mosley.
I was talking about dominating performances with stoppages against undefeated prime opponents.
floyd couldnt do what fury and canelo did... stopped their opponents in one of their biggest fight.

Thinking about the question some more maybe Mayweather's win over Pacquiao is better since Wilder is not as good as Pacquiao was in my opinion. On the other hand while I thought Mayweather clearly beat Pacquiao he did not dominate and stop him the way Fury did Wilder so it's hard for me to chose but I guess I would call Fury's win better because he was so much better than the champion and won by stoppage after winning every round.
Pacquiao fight happened 6 years too late though, pac was clearly past his best, he planked already and couldn’t KO the algerias of the world.. so it’s not really the floyd win i’d match with the fury win..
Plus it was one of floyd’s worse offensive outings too efficiency wise. Personally im not really impressed with floyds win over pacquiao.. it was one of the worse performance ive seen from floyd. In fact from both of them.. and floyd just landed a bit more.
If floyd pushed a bit more on the gas — which i know he can and couldve then that’s a diff story.
I didn't think Wilder had a chance either so the odds were the same in my eyes.
Cool
Can’t argue with that
Although Floyd did pull a little stunt in the Gatti fight which I thought was really not needed but wtv

I’d say the Corrales fight was a similar level of domination in what was considered a close fight before the bell.
Yup. It was the last time floyd was actually considered an underdog... i consider that his best win against an absolute prime fighter with no asterisk or whatsoever..
The fight was just not as big wilder-fury II though, the lights shone brightest and danggg fury delivered
That would depend on how high you rate Wilder. I would give Fury the edge because he beat the 2nd or 3rd best heavyweight so easily. Mayweather would get my vote if he had fought Canelo at 154 but draining him 2 pounds took some shine off that win.
He was rated pretty highly rated by most.. including the media.. commentators and ex boxers.. i know he don’t have enough skills but i was still very scared for fury until round 3 happened
Agreed. Esp it happened at a time he was so against catchweights
