In your opinion which would you say was the bigger win and which were you more impressed with? Both were rematches of fights that ended in controversy and also had the superior boxers (Ward, Fury) stopping the superior punchers (Kovalev, Wilder).
Ward better win. Fury more impressive win. I don’t think anyone thought Fury was going to come forward, be the aggressor, and force Wilder’s corner to throw the towel in. Everyone knew Wilder was limited and would eventually run into someone that could outbox him and stay away from his right. Fury took it a step further and carried out exactly what him and his corner wanted. And did it in a dominant fashion.
I still think Ward beat a better fighter in Kovalev.
This is how I see it:
Ward+Referee against a Russian, After Andre loosing the first fight and having gotten a gift maybe because of the political s h I t going on at the time, is NOT as good as Fury (a foreigner) against Wilder+ referee.
The posters that are saying Fury's win is better- most of you had Kov was ranked in the top 5 p4p and as the top LHW when Ward beat him. Wilder was the #1 ranked HWT, which many of you disagreed with, and he was no where near being considered one of the 5 or 10 best fighters in the world.
Fury's win was aesthetically more dominant and brutal without question. That said, since when does beating a guy you think is a top 5 p4p fighter not more impressive than beating a guy you think is not even the best in the division?
Forbes had Wilder p4p #1! :lol1:

No controversy in Fury fight, which was a legitimately great win. The Ward fight was marred by low blows and the fact that the fight ended on an obvious foul, which aint supposed to happen under the rules.
Kovalev is on a different universe of ability to Wilder but Furys win was much more dominant and jaw dropping than Wards, and the latter was also somewhat tainted by dirty tactics.
Fury. No controversy in that fight. A fair win minus the
Rabbit punching
Headlocks
Ruptured eardrum
Torn bicep
Broken leg
Tired from the ring walk Heavy suit
Fans to being to loud
To much pacing before the fight
To many sea shells in his hair
Not enough sea shells in his hair
Putting on to much weight before the fight
Not enough rest between the ortiz fight
And the hand wraps being to white
Other than that a straight up win for fury
Fury by far.
Ward while he did beat up Kovalev in the rematch, you had a few low blows that weren’t counted and that had a lot to do with the final outcome.
Fury made the proper adjustments and beat Wilder down, without the use of dirty tactics like many have claimed. Fury fought the perfect fight and that gets props for such a high Ring IQ.
Fury over Wilder was a much more dominating beating. It was the bigger guy demolishing the smaller guy. Ward over Kov was Ward beating a bigger fighter that was ranked in the top 10 p4p.
Ward had the better win because Kov is a much better professional boxer than Wilder is but I was more impressed with Fury just walking forward and beating Wilder's ass.
Fury by far. He didn't need low blows and elbows to win. He was also up against a ref who was pro-Wilder. Unlike Ward who had the ref on his side and ignored all of his low blows and fouls.
Yeeah some of his punches were low but Kov was on his way out. Ward landed a great punch and Kov was stumbling all over the ring. BUT, Fury victory is a wayyy bigger win. He went straight at the bigfgest puncher in HW history and KOd him
Fury... Ward did great but first fight was a robbery. Fury slick boxed him the first time and get robbed than decided to knock him out and he did. That was a bad beating
