Wilder was 214 in his first fight against Ortiz, then he was 212 in his first fight against Fury.
Wilder claimed the low weights for those two fights were due to illnesses at the end of both camps. He put on weight for the Brezeale and Ortiz rematches, weighing over 220 for both fights. He was a career high 231 for the Fury rematch.
Early in the fight week, Fury claimed that he didn't think that Wilder hit any harder than Wladimir Klitschko, but Wilder was a more dangerous and devastating puncher due to superior punching speed.
It's possible that the 19 lb weight gain caused him to lose hand speed and fatigue. But Fury's plan to gain weight to bully Wilder worked, so Wilder coming in lower may make things even easier for Fury.
If a 3rd fight happens what should Wilder's weight be: 210s, 220s, 230s? Will he lose again no matter his weight?

200-220 lbs. come in light and quick.....focus on speed and explosion, if it aint broke dont fix it
I can't understand why Wilder would take an immediate rematch. In 19 rounds against Fury, he has won at most 5, with 3 of those being questionable wins that IMO could've gone either way. Fury has proven he is better.
Wilder is 34, he isn't going to get better. The weight isn't the major problem against Fury, the difference in skill and ring IQ is.
Not sure it matters
He couldn’t beat a 50% Fury and got annihilated when he fought the real Tyson Fury.
He can come in at any weight, he still can’t compete with Fury in ANY department except single punch power. And as i said before “punchers chance” doesn’t truly exist when the levels are so far apart. Truly top level boxers don’t lose to guys that only have a punchers chance and nothing else.
Wilder cannot do anything with a fully fit Fury, whether he weighs 210, 220, or 230.
He should just come in at the weight he feels the quickest/lightest in. No matter how much weight he gains, Fury is going to have a big weight/strength advantage. So 215-220 sounds about right.
I'm not sure his weight played a huge roll in the fight. I feel he was entirely too timid he needs to be assertive and not allow Fury to push him back if he would box anything like he did in Stiverne 1 he stands a better chance throwing jabs and side stepping with a left hook would benefit him
