Right at the end of the video Hearn said that Pulev is with Top Rank too so its possible to negotiate a way for Fury to fight AJ on June 20th instead of the scheduled AJ vs Pulev bout. He says that it all depends on Wilder - if Wilder doesn't take the immediate rematch then AJ vs Fury is ON June 20th!
Wilder wasn't being beaten up or getting hurt in any of those fights.
Is right hand isn't anywhere near as dangerous if he's tired, or sapped of energy from a beating.
Fury was beating him up. He would come out aggresive again, and after a few rounds of getting buzzed and hurt, his big right would be neutralized.
I don't think Wilder was 100% in that rematch. Just like in the 1st fight we didn't see a 100% Fury, this time we didn't see a 100% Wilder. Looked like something was wrong with him going by stressed out look on his face after he removed the mask. Instead of the usual fire in his eyes, he looked worried, nervous and tense. Reminded me of AJ in the first Ruiz fight.
Wilder won (or drew) fights before when most people thought he was being outboxed. Both Ortiz fights, the Washington fight, some had Spilka ahead before the KO, the first Fury fight. Wilder has overcome boxers who are technically better than him before.. can't count him out completely against Fury. That punching power could still change the outcome.

It's a tricky negotiation but not the first time they worked together. ESPN and DAZN have collaborated before, cross-promoting other sports like English Premier League.
Premier League isn't a one and done PPV though. That's the thing.

He was outboxed in the first fight. Fury took his soul in this one. He had no chance of landing anything going backwards and was just soaking up punishment. He has zero chance in a 3rd fight if Fury fights like that
Zero
How many Wilder fans actually believe he has got a shot? That was a sustained and brutal boxing lesson and he was on his way to being knocked out. The 3rd is a smaller less interesting fight especially compared to AJ vs Fury.

The 3rd fight isn't a hard sell. He has loyal fans and his detractors would love to see Fury beat his ass again.

Fury would be very wise to fight to fight andy ruiz in september in las vegas .
Fury is all wrong for Wilder , im not paying to see that again, Fury is simply better in every way .
Fight joshua in 2021 in the spring or summer.
It takes a lot for that to happen. Wilder has to say no first, then ESPN and Pulev needs to say yes to it, then finally Arum and Fury needs to say yes to it. So no the fight would not happen on that date.
There are a number of obstacles to overcome but it's a unique situation now with all the belts held by two Brits. Hearn and Warren are both eager to make what is the most historic heavyweight fight in British boxing history, the first time two Brits fought for all the heavyweight titles. Both those promoters will go down in history too. You can bet they want this fight to happen asap before the belts even have a chance to change hands again.
The amount of money that Saudi could potentially throw at this fight might seal the deal. It all hinges on Wilder.. All the other obstacles are surmountable.
They were the same price. There's no way they would broadcast both if it's $79 on ESPN PPV and $15 on DAZN.

Fight probably happens next year. Hearn just wants attention.
The Fury family will drag his ass over the hot coals anyway. Joshua getting raped in negotiations

Fury has said he is contracted to fight in the states on more than one occasion.
If that's the case would ESPN prevent the fight from happening based on location? As long as they get to air the historic unification bout they'll probably let it slide if it's not in the US. They'll just modify the contract, add a one fight exception, and job done.
He doesn't have to fight in the US, he has to be broadcast by ESPN in the US. But they might just reach an agreement to do a dual broadcast between ESPN and DAZN. It's been done before, the Fury vs Wilder rematch was aired on both ESPN and Fox Sports platforms as PPV.

So he is admitting that Joshua will fight in the US on US PPV? Because Fury is locked into a contract that dictates he fights on ESPN in the US.

Yes but the general public outside of fanboys will not be interested. They will have no catchy taglines that resonate with casuals.
The sell for this fight was that Wilder can end it at any time, even when he's getting outboxed. They've now seen that that isn't always the case, as Wilder was in no state to end the fight when the towel was thrown in. Most people would expect Wilder to do even worse a 3rd time, I imagine.
And, there isn't really any need for a rematch. If Wilder had won the first one, sure. Or if this win was also contentious, maybe. But without that, it's just a pointless cash grab. People will see through that unless Wilder wins some fights in the interim.
There isn't even clamoring for a Ruiz-Joshua III right now. And Ruiz won the 1st handily.
It’s a difficult one i guess. When else is Wilder going to get a title shot. Is he really going to be content not being a champ and fighting on PBC cards for much less money?
Then add in to the fact that you kind of have to take the rematch to save face. By not taking it, it’s admitting you can’t beat the guy.
I also think AJ taking the immediate Ruiz rematch might put pressure on Wilder to take it.
And most importantly, it’s probably still the biggest money fight for Wilder right now, even if it doesn’t have the same appeal. All he has to do is say yes, and he gets a very good payday guaranteed.
It sure is admitting he can't beat him. Which I'm sure he deep down recognizes, even if he would never say that to anyone. The people on his team may be a little salty right now about how it turned out, but they too are probably acutely aware that Wilder beating Fury is a long shot.
Fighters have to rebound from a bad loss all the time. Amir Khan somehow managed to stay relevant between KO losses. Pacquiao came back from a horrible KO loss well enough to sell the biggest fight of all time.
Wilder needs to do something like that to put him back on the radar of fighters who are a threat for the title. If he's lucky, Joshua will beat Fury, and his road to a title suddenly is much clearer. If not, a KO win of someone respectable might do the trick.
Stepaside money is a thing.
yes sir we need 1 champion. i say Fury- Joshua, Have Wilder - fight Pulev, Usyk fight Charles Martin. etc. Arent Povetkin and whyte fighting?
No one wants Fury-Wilder 3 right now, probably including his team. They know it will be hard to sell to the public and that it's possibly just another bad outcome for their fighter.
I think they will wisen up and move in a different direction.
