Um, not sure why he went against Breeland in the post-fight conference and threw him under the bus. Breeland made the right decision. Wilder's legs were shot after the 3rd round so what was the point of continuing the fight? He was just taking a ton of shots and could not generate any power on his punches.
Is Deas trying to get Breeland off the team?
Better to live to fight another day, they have a rematch clause. Winning the next fight is the main priority over this one. Deas isn’t a proper trainer. I don’t know how it looked on TV but people around us were saying they should stop the fight. Even the ref was looking hard at Wilder (With the view to stopping it).
Was supposed to go to the hospital but couldn't go until he gave VADA a urine sample.
Is that right
I thought he was on his way when he got onto the stretcher
Then my feed cut away to the fab four
It looked to me like they seriously considered it before Round 7.
It had got to the point where you could see he couldn't compete and Fury was happy to continue to maul him rather than put him out of his misery.
Personally, I'd moved past the excitement stage and just wanted it stopped for his safety. Blood pouring from the ear and the guy staggering around the ring being hit by a guy 40 pounds heavier than him isn't a good sight.
Wilder might see it the same way when he watches it back.
It probably should've been stopped earlier. Wilder was brave, but was taking a severe beating, he went straight to hospital after the fight.
As of 20 minutes ago, he was still in the arena and had not yet gone to the hospital.
I lost all respect for Breeland when he legitimately suggested team AJ would pay off Ruiz to throw their rematch. It's such a distasteful comment and undermines all of the hardwork fighters put themselves through.
However i've gained a little more respect for him here because that was not an easy call to make, but it was absololtley the right one to make.
I sympathize with your position but there was another minute and a half to go in the round. Unless Fury backed off, Wilder didn't look like he was even going to last another 30 seconds, let alone 90.
Maybe he would have went down again, then held, maybe dropped again to close out the round.
By the 8th he down on the canvas and can't get back up.
I wish he wouldn't have, I put a bet on Fury to win in the 8th round, and Fury would have KOed in the 8th if that towel didn't come in.

Just because you were a good fighter don't mean you'll make a good trainer.
I'm not trying to throw either under the bus but seriously wtf is Wilder paying them for?
If his legs were still there and he was just taking shots but was still capable of landing something big? Then okay fine, let the man fight and don't throw the towel in. But when exactly was he going to get his legs back? The KD happened in round 3 and it was round 7 and legs still weren't back....And he was not getting them back the rest of the fight. The stoppage was the right decision.
Yep we saw that the same way...gotta be tough when your guy, of all people, is Wilder...and you just tell yourself that all he needs is one-half chance or half-shot...but yeah those legs were gone and the percent chance he had of getting lucky just was very small...not worth taking more damage.
I didn't hear him say that...but agree 100% with your post...his legs were gone from early on...could have called it off way earlier imho...he was just there to soak up damage at that point
