#1 - Fury vs. Wallin did less than a million dollars in tickets. Fury vs. Wilder II in on track to do more than 17 million dollars in tickets.
Why the huge difference? If it's simply Fury being a big draw, and not Wilder being a draw, why the 16 million dollar difference from one fight to the next for Fury?
#2 - While the UK has amazing fans, they're not the ones buying up all the $3,000 seats. The huge money is because of the high rollers from the US and from all over the world who come to Vegas when there's a huge fight, not because of a specific allegiance to either of the fighters.
Huge props to both fighters for promoting this fight so hard. Huge props to the dedicated UK fans who made the trip over. But the hardcore boxing fans ends up being a very small percentage of the money for a huge fight like this. The huge money is because of the wealthy elite who aren't necessarily boxing nerds, but tonight is the place to be in their social circles so they'll drop thousands of dollars on tickets.
Fight wouldn't have sold half without the Fury fans and they travelled thousands of miles. Yes they deserve most of the credit. To outnumber the home country fighter's fans is ridiculous.Credit for what? Spending a ton of money to come here and cheer for Fury? They can't get in the ring and help him fight. All they can do is cheer for him and sing bad songs. If Fury loses they will wish they watched the fight from their home and saved a bunch of money. If they want to spend huge money to see Fury live then good for them. No other country does that as much as the English. Does that make them better than fans who don't do this. I don't think so. It's their money to spend how they like but that doesn't make them better than fans who love their favorite boxers but don't feel the need to cross the ocean to support them. Many of them come here and boo our boxers and our national anthem.
Give the Brit fans credit for coming over. They support boxing in a big way. I’m sure there are some wilder fans there as well but I expect a loud British contingent.
Now let’s hope it sells heavy on PPV to entice AJ out of his European hide and seek plan.

hey dumb ass, he just told you the gate did 17x more with wilder compared to his last fight.
that means wilder deserves credit ******.
They don't spend. If they did, this would be taking place over there. They spend far less for tickets, PPVs, etc. I learned about this from UK fans.
Nice trolling.
I am actually curious to know how much you think a return flight from there to Vegas/hotels/tickets etc would cost?

I really don't care who put the asses in the seats as I'm not some nationalistic cheerleader but anyone trying to sell the idea that Fully is carrying this on his back is just dishonest.
