I've been paying close attention to the lead-up of this fight, as I always do. The combination of a shoddy performance (and the cuts) against Otto Wallin, changing trainer, coming in heavy, looking out of shape, too many rumours of injuries in camp and looking like trash in sparring. On top of that I think Deontay Wilder is looking in the best shape of his career. I just have a bad feeling about this, lads.
In the first fight I knew Fury was going to shock a lot of people, but in this fight I feel like his tactics are all wrong. I'd even say the energy of the two fighters in the pressers etc have also been very different, seems to me that Wilder has often gotten the upper hand in the exchanges, just seems a lot more relaxed and at peace. I really hope I am wrong...
Wilder did great last fight as he put fury down. Fury id imagine doesnt go down often. A few times in career and maybe in sparring once. Fury always gets better of his sparring opponents. So fury just needs to treat wilder like a sparring contest. Im sure wilders sparring partners get better of him.
You have been reading too many articles on Boxing Scene...... Fury is fine, I can tell from following him for over a decade..... he would never go into a fight like this out of condition.
Op don't worry. Wilder was being outbo xd last fight before punch rescued him.
Fury should outbox wilder. Fury might get dropped again but he gets up. Don't think judges will Rob fury again all eyes are on them
Anyone who has followed Tyson Fury since the start knows that coming in so heavy is going to lessen his advantages over Deontay Wilder. He will be slower in every department, a lot easier to hit. The only possibility is that Fury saw something in the first fight that has convinced him he doesn't need the reflexes and speed to be on point. He would have to be supremely confident that the same basic defensive moves could contain Wilder, in order to come in so heavy. Or as an earlier poster said, maybe the plan is to hit and hold and rough Wilder up in the clinch. Tis a dangerous game though and will only take the ref to break them as soon as they get in close and the plan is a dud. I just do not believe Tyson is going to come in gunslinging like he says, and if he does it is going to be his undoing. That will be playing right into Deontay's hands. I have found it near impossible to read Fury in this build-up.
I think coming in heavier will help Wider but hurt Fury and Fury despite what he says will try to make it an ugly fight with lots of clinches. Wilder by KO.
It is also very disturbing how many morons there are on here, suddenly championing Fury and acting like they know the man personally. I remember a time not so long ago when the only Fury fans on here were me and a handful of others. Most of these fairweather fans have fallen off of many other bandwagons before today, and now here they are loudly proclaiming a dominant Fury victory. I am a fan of Deontay Wilder too, I just have followed Fury since the amateur days so feel more invested in his journey.
I dont, if he came in really fat then I would be more worried, despite weighing heavier he looked like he put on muscle. probably been working a lot on strength and conditioning
That’s false and not an argument ,it’s a fact .
Fury stopped McDermott and Chisora when facing them again which is not debatable because he did that in rematches . Being not known to K.O opponents is not even relevant , he stopped Hammer something Ortiz didn’t do . Is Ortiz known as the killer on here to ? Ha
Ortiz is massively overrated too, that doesn’t make fury any better at knock outs?
The most alarming thing is Fury saying he needs to change tactics from the first fight because the judges didn't give him the decision. This is a fight he dominated for 10 of 12 rounds.
If he's more aggressive, he's getting stopped.
I had a horrible feeling about the wlad fight and the first wilder one . I can never doubt fury again until I see something . The cut is a worry but the so so performance isnt for me this man looked like trash before the first wilder fight and in a few times before that before good wins . I have to pick fury , but iam not confident in my pick . I just cant pick against this guy especially with wilder at this point . I would assume wilder can stop him and is taking this fight much more serious but fury is a talker and iam not sure I can buy into everything iam hearing . He should box just more stationed and I think he will go for a stoppage late . But iam not so sure it happens nor does he try to make that happen in the second round . I feel tyson will win a close decision that he has great moments in but I dont just expect wilder to come lay down . Hes gonna fight much better this time I just wanna see a good fight . My gut says wilder via late stoppage . But in cannot pick against fury andi cant pick him by stoppage altho it isnt against the realm of possibility. I honestly feel the same way I did about the first fight I just expect a very differnt fight . Fury by decision unless wilder catches him .
Something tells me I'm gonna be very disappointed with the result of the fight and the performance of both fighters. All the signs are there. I'm worried this will be a sham fight just to have a thrid to milk us of another $80.
Fury barely knocks out opponents, worst argument I’ve seen. The only person he’s fought twice is Chisora? Chisora retired rather than was knocked out.
Nobody did that to Chisora before or since. It was a good performance by Fury.
He also KOd john mcdermott in their rematch.
Fury has knocked out or stopped his opponents in rematches and at a heavier weight then the first fight.

As a Tyson Fury fan such as yourself, I'd say just relax. The man got skillz. Skillz well above Wilder. If he can avoid that nuclear right hand for 12 rds, he'll be in good shape. I just don't know about the idea of trading with Wilder to get the KO if he was serious. That could be his doom but on the other end, maybe the extra weight can help get the KO if Wilder gets caught cold...
As a Fury fan I have a bad feeling as well. I can foresee a situation where people are going to be hitting me up for cash because I’m about to have a boat load of it.
Odds for 11th round stoppage??

Maybe Fury with use the hit and hold method that Ward, Lennox, and Wlad used.
Fury might think that it's best to push Wilder back and force him to fight off his back foot believing he can't hurt him while not being in the attack. Sounds good in theory.
