Where did you hear this? Do you have a source? I just want to look at the details, like how old Ali is now, has she kept in shape? This is actually interesting. Lets look at precedent. A young and brash laila fights a shopworn, out of shape Christie martin, and makes easy work of Martin. Of course Martin was not in shape. Woman's boxing as a whole is evolving at a rapid clip. Shields has a really really powerful jab. Ali was very good but even in her time, she never tackled a real threat like Ann (edit: Ann Wolf) forgot her last name... who could punch really hard. Shields would UD Ali. Ali been out of the ring for 15 years and has to drop what 60lbs just to make weight and she what mid 40's in age? Ali should have fought Ann Wolf if she really wanted the GOAT bragging rights. First of all, 2007 to 2020 is 13 years. Not 15. Next, Wolf was really no real threat to Ali when people thought she was. That was just people trying to create a woman's super fight.

Shields out works the older version of Ali hands down I think that is possible but I just don't know what to expect to be honest. Ali was a sick fighter when she was active. Her speed, timing and power was on par with men. No joke
