Everybody has a right to their opinion. If you really think Horn deserved that home country robbery win over Pacquiao my opinion isthat is a really horrible wrong opinion. By count from neutral punch counters Pac landed twice as many punches as Horn. I know the punch stats can be wrong but not so wrong that the man they say landed twice as many punches lost the fight. Also Pac almost knocked Horn out in round 9 and Horn was allowed to fight an incredibly dirty fight that would have cost him points or a DQ anywhere else.
Yes round 9 was good for Manny...but still a 10-9 round on my card and I think it was only a 10-9 round.
I watched that fight with clear eyes and I saw Horn bully Manny around the ring at the beginning of most of those rounds...the stats in my view were very even...I think punch stats generally get it right, but at the end of the day, it is just a couple guys counting punches.
Horn was doing a lot of work in there...and I saw a lot of it scoring...not sure how anyone could say otherwise.
That fight and the reaction to it honestly makes me want to watch Pac-Bradley and score it...I feel like maybe some of the claims of 'robbery' are overblown there as well.
If you respect the ratings of Ring Magazine GGG just had a war with the Ring's number 4 middleweight and fights Ring's number 6 middleweight next. Who else besides Canelo is fighting Ring's top 6 contenders back to back? Not Andrade, Jermall, Smith or Saunders for certain.
GGG has fought very very good competition the last 6 fights...better than anyone else in the world really...him and Canelo really stand alone there
This has probably been in the works for a while...having them fight in September of this year...DAZN had to placate Canelo a little bit I bet...since Canelo is such a big star, he doesn't like to be told what to do...but he knows where his bread is buttered as well.
So while DAZN has had its eyes set on Canelo-GGG since they signed GGG...they had to give Canelo some leeway and make it seem like they weren't forcing him to take the fight.
If GGG is going to keep fighting though...it should be Canelo or another real test later this year...at his age I don't mind going 1/1 from here on out for tune ups/hard fights...but if he can't compete at the top level anymore he should just hang 'em up...so a fight later this year should hopefully tell us something. If you respect the ratings of Ring Magazine GGG just had a war with the Ring's number 4 middleweight and fights Ring's number 6 middleweight next. GGG's 37 and looked like garbage against Derevyanchenko. I would've been interested in the trilogy, had it taken place immediately after the rematch. I think Canelo beats GGG convincingly in a 3rd bout.
Golovkin should rematch Derev first. Maybe Jacobs. Both have claims they beat him.Yes by all means make GGG at least 40 before fighting Prime young Canelo.
I've never really been a Pac fan at all lol...he is a great fighter...but I'm not really a fan of anyone tbh...I just score fights and judge fighters accordingly...felt Pac lost to Horn...never really watched most of his other fightsEverybody has a right to their opinion. That would be great. GGG always deserved that rematch after such a close disputed loss in Canelo's boxing home town. Sure GGG has gone down hill like all boxers do at his age but better late than never.
Are you guys arguing about just the second fight, or the first? Not going through this entire thread
Mainly the 2nd I guess...I said I felt GGG won all 3 of his fights with Jacobs and Canelo 8-4...and that SD was the real close/either way one of the bunch.
I think that is pretty clear but many on here seem to disagree...all I can say is if those guys all fought the other's fight in those fights...I would score all 8-4 against GGG, and then say the last one vs SD was close.
As long as you love the sport is the only thing that matters. If you think GGG won then that’s your opinion. They were close competitive fights. But don’t talk nonsense not knowin the 4 Criteria for the 10PMS. You have Defense in your signature by a known judge. Surely you’re trolling... carry on
You thinking the 4 Criteria is “funny” is like when Rodney Dangerfield told Joe Pesci in Easy Money, “What’s a matter with you...you laugh at weather reports...”
Defense is important my friend...as Weisfeld said...as it helps to set up your offense, and negates the opponent from scoring! So it is very important...and I would say vital usually, to have good defense...you just don't ACTIVELY score for defense my friend.
As long as Mike Tyson and Big George had Nelo beating Golovkin who cares about your theories and ringside observance tweets!

I got you there didn’t I? You brought it on yourself. As long as Mike Tyson and Big George had Nelo beating Golovkin who cares about your theories and ringside observance tweets!
Again you’re not listening...
Effective Aggression – Being aggressive gives the impression of dominance, but unless the boxer is landing shots and not constantly getting countered, it’s not exactly “effective.” Judges look for effective aggression, where the aggressor consistently lands his punches and avoids those from his opponent.
Ring Generalship – The fighter who controls the action and enforces his will and style.
Defense – How well is a boxer slipping, parrying, and blocking punches? Good defense is important.
Clean and Effective Punches – To the untrained eye, it can appear as if a boxer is landing a lot of shots, when, in fact, most are being blocked or aren’t landing flush. A judge needs to look for hard shots that land clean
You're funny man...but yeah I don't really take you seriously on here, and you seem to be all over the place when trying to engage you in a real conversation.
Cmon bruh he’s the classic Pac/GGG converts and clownism. He’s saying judges don’t score defense in the 10 point must system. The idiot actually justifies defense as a criteria in his signature.
There is a channel called BDA Boxing. I literally heard a GGG fan saying he was sobbing and was sobbing on live air with the other panelists that he cried when GGG lost to Canelo. These are the types we’re replying to. Ill try and find that upload

I don't believe that you believe you're honest. Nobody in their right mind would have those scores.
Lol....GGG is as big or a bigger puncher than Jacobs/Canelo...and he outlanded them in 9-2-1 rounds...10-1-1 rounds...and 8-3-1 rounds lol...if GGG fought the fights of those guys, I would say he lost 8-4...if that happened, you would say he lost 10-2 lol...says it all :)
Obviously not or the average card wouldn't have Jacobs the winner. :dunce:
Average card according to who? lol...if I took the average cards for that fight from fans in Kazahkstan, it would probably be 118-111 GGG lol.
Floyd gets 10-2 cards in fights where he should get 8-4 cards...just because some favor a style I suppose where if nothing happens he gets the round.
GGG gets 4-8 cards in fights he should get 8-4 cards lol.
Again man, you don't give extra credit to a guy for doing better than expected, and vice versa
Also, average fan had GGG beating Canelo 80% of the time the first fight, and 62% of the time in the 2nd fight btw :) now that we are taking fan cards as gospel
Did the press and judges only give Jacobs 4 rounds? So you didn't have it close. I scored the fight a draw or Golovkin by a round (can't remember :lol1:). So actually my position is closer to everyone's than yours is.
My opinion>>>>>>>>>>Yours because you're a Golovkin nuthugger.
My opinion is that he WON so my opinion IS exactly what actually happened. You can't be closer than that, chief.
GGG vs. Canelo should have always been next. Period
THE END
This is where you get shredded because you’re a casual!
The FOUR CRITERIA IN SCORING is ALSO defense. Your dumbass even has it as a signature. How many times did Canelo make GGG miss? You’ve got YouTube, show me some rounds and timestamp where GGG sets up traps, pump fakes, to land on Canelo clean. Then ask yourself, did Canelo do it to GGG? You don’t like to admit that Canelo swerving defensive tricks in the pocket from a GGG combination assault isn’t scored? That makes a difference is swing rounds, and its not like Canelo has to worry about compubox with CLEAN EFFECTIVE PUNCHES that aren’t just repetitive jabs just to look busy. Judges take all that into consideration.
And regarding the film. If the Rock makes close to 90mil for a film when it grosses lets say 800 mil. What’s that ratio for that deal? DAZN’s subscriptions keep growing, his premium is justified just like the film company owns the rights to continue selling it in the future.
Dude, all you score in a fight are the punches landed and their effectiveness...Canelo fans trying to distort the rules/scoring criteria to shift wins in his column, I mean go ahead man...but I don't really care about that man...I score fights for the better man and call it like I see it...and I don't need to change my criteria every fight and/or score it with the wrong criteria.
99.9% of fans, experts, fighters would laugh at your claims that Mayweather-Pacquiao was closer than Canelo-Golovkin and Jacob-Golovkin. That's just absurd to be honest. Only a complete deluded nuthugger would make such a claim.
They were all 8-4 wins, with only 1 winner, shoulder shrug...if you want to overrate guys you like and underrate guys you don't...that's cool man...an overwhelming percentage of people who follow/score fights have a pretty extreme bias, so you are in good company :)
But yeah 95% of fights only have 1 winner...and all 4 of those fights only had 1 winner...SD-GGG was like JLC-Floyd...where Floyd/GGG probably edged it but it was very close and a score 7-5 the other way is fine, if that's how an honest man saw it...but that only applies to honest men ;)
Don't start compubox BS it just makes you look like a casual. It was a close fight like i said and a rematch is justified. Golovkin isn't giving rematches but expects Canelo to.
Okay then, ignore that and we're still there. That's why I included 2 x qualifiers for my point. How about the fact that I watched the fight and scored 4 x rds for Jacobs and most of press row agreed that GGG won as well?
My opinion > yours, clearly because you seem to hate GGG. (not that I really care)
With that logic Golovkin-Jacobs should come before. :dunce:
Here's the aevrage card of 700 fans for Golovkin-Jacobs.

I'd say a rematch is justified.
How would anyone give Jacobs round 3? lol...clear round for GGG...and round 1 was pretty easy to score as well...very close until the end where GGG landed the last 2 or 3 shots of the round.
That fight being fairly easy to score is evidenced by the judges' cards...they were identical through 10 rounds, except for round 7 which was close and split...all judges had the fight over after 9 rounds.
Don't start compubox BS it just makes you look like a casual. It was a close fight like i said and a rematch is justified. Golovkin isn't giving rematches but expects Canelo to.
Anyone who watched the fight knows GGG threw and landed more than Jacobs though...that's not compubox saying that...it's just obvious man...and who lands more in a fight is VERY VERY important as to who won the fight lol.
GGG beat Jacobs and Canelo in the 1st fight, clearly.
GGG lost to Derv and Canelo in the 2nd fight, again, clearly
Man I just don't see that at all, on the 2nd two...I've watched that 2nd fight a number of times...and imho I think the only way you can get to Canelo winning the 2nd fight is to not score GGG's work/jab, and/or overvalue a lot of Canelo's work...and that's just not really how fights are scored.
Fair to give Canelo props for how he fought, and slight GGG in some ways for Canelo doing some good work...but yeah Canelo just isn't active enough to beat anyone clearly really...and certainly not active enough to do that against GGG, who is super active and a very clean puncher when he scores.
I remember watching it live...and seeing very even rounds, knowing that the judges could slide any and all of those to Canelo...and then seeing GGG just kind of takeover in a number of rounds as well, especially the later rounds...yeah I just can't see anyone finding 6+ rounds for Canelo there unless you are actively trying/overrating his work/not scoring a lot of GGG's work.
SD fight was very close...I agree that live, SD was pretty clearly the better man...but those first two rounds, very likely being down 3 pts just hurt him a bit...scoring it live I had it 6-6 so edged to GGG...on rewatch I felt SD's activity wasn't quite as much of an edge as I saw live...maybe overrating some of it live...and had it 7-5 to GGG.
No issue if someone got it to 7 rounds for SD though...but yeah that was a legit 7-5 either way type fight...Sergei outworking GGG at times, GGG often times landing the bigger shots of the round...side note, great fight that was...that's how Canelo needed to fight GGG if he wanted to really win! More activity.
