Let’s see.
If he’s good enough and wants it enough, then he will be able to work himself back into a position with some good wins.
It’s easy having intention, it’s another thing doing it when it’s time to REALLY work. If he couldn’t get in shape and stop eating for the rematch for a ridiculous payday and the biggest fight of his life, then is he really going to stop eating for a much smaller payday in comparison in a much less meaningful fight? Especially now he’s financially comfortable..
We’ll see. I’m not so sure.
I liked Ruiz as a fighter after I watched the Parker fight but it's hard to think of a more bs move than not training for the Joshua rematch. I respect all fighters but it will take a while before I'm a Ruiz fan again.
I think Fury toys with him, Wilder sparks him eventually although it might be interesting for a while, and AJ has his number now. But I reckon he can hang with everyone else and hes still pretty young for a HW so I dont think hes gonna go full Buster Douglas.
