You have to go all the way back to 2007 Ricky Hatton to find a clear Knock Out for Mayweather. It's difficult for me to put Mayweather above Ali, Lewis, SRL when his style relied on judges to score the bout in his direction. Nope, he’s never been the GOAT. Absolutely NOBODY ever mentions him when that list comes up. He’s top 20 for sure though. But he ain’t no top 10, let alone GOAT. PAC is definitely top 5 though, according to majority of boxing pundits and boxing fans.

Floyd Mayweather didn't dominate any opponents in the last decade? Are you for real? Well, fury did what Floyd does against wilder and only got a draw? So Floyd was only really essentially a knockdown or 2 away from it being considered close or competitve. If baldomir or guerrero, could have knocked Floyd down once or twice who knows?

Who did Floyd fight that was Decrepit? De La Hoya? Pac fought an older version of him. Mosley? Canelo fought an older version Pac? Pac just whooped on an undefeated fighter 5 years after the Mayweather fight. Nobody considers Floyd beating those guys as prime, all-time great wins on the level as a lot of his peers have. If he did, he'd probably be considered top 10 all time no question. All of this would be a foregone conclusion with Floyd had he not dragged out fighting the best buys on his resume.

That’s why he never gets the ultimate respect from everybody. You can’t win a fight running the whole time, you have to fight. If any other boxer tried that, he would lose on the scorecards.
