The only place you can beat Mayweather is in fantasy fights that kinda says a lot. Had he fought prime pac at 09 and beat him there no one else will be talking about how else could it have gone. Or cotto at 08. Or canelo at full 154. The fact that floyd’s best win against an absolute prime fighter is against Corrales says a lot too. Or you have someone else on his resume for that? Now campare it to Leonard’s duran, hearns, benitez and hagler. And it pales badly. Pac has barrera as his best win.

I agree. I think any opponent facing Floyd is seeing something more different than anything Floyd is seeing in front of him. He’s proven that over his career. He has a style which is unique to him and can’t be copied near to the same success without his set of skills. Everyone knows he throws a lead right hand, but he still tags everyone with it. Everyone’s stats go down against him. Yeah he’s a defensive counter puncher, but what other style was going to end up undefeated? Getting countered clean in the face sucks, yet people pretend he could be bum rushed. He did sum of his best work against the ropes too. I wouldn’t bet against Floyd vs anyone in history. A very small list of guys could potentially beat him and they are all ATGs. These mythical matchups always assume that both are coming in at their absolute best. In reality most guys have occasional bad nights or performances. Floyd is the most consistent fighter i’ve ever seen so I would favour him if over everyone but Hearns (due to his power, size, and reach)

People want a "sexy name" to match up well with Floyd, and thats not how boxing works. They want SRL, and SRR, to be able to beat him, and its simply not possible. These are mismatch fights. And sure he hasnt faced anyone identical to them, but just looking at their styles, you cant imaging them chasing down Floyd, at his worse, and getting a victory over him. I think Floyd has the type of style that is hard for everyone. Aaron Pryor is the one fighter I would want to see though. Chavez at 135-140. Hearns at 147-154 SRL has a good chance at 147-154 but Hearns has a better chance. At 154, add in Winky and SRR.

I don't think anyone beats Floyd. He's shown the ability to adapt to any style on his way to victory. I always thought Whitaker had the bedt chance. Sweet Pea's defense would have been a complicated puzzle for Floyd to solve. His right jab would be much of a deterrent as well as the body punching. Floyd like fighter's gets frustrated when he cant land. I wonder how patient he would be against sweet pea
