This is jus my opinion but I dont think Conor really wants to fight Khabib OR Tony at 155. I dont think he wants to cut the weight anymore. Whatever happened to him being on standby for Ufc 249? Let's keep our eye on it. If the UFC allows Conor to fight Gaethje at 170 then we know something is going on. Also I can see a 165 lb division coming real soon to accommodate McGregor. They don’t know what exactly to do with Conor. They want to capitalize as much as possible on his PPV sales and drawing power but they have to do it carefully. If he fights a top contender and loses right now, his stock will surely drop. They want to keep his stock HIGH. So they either feed him another easy win like Cowboy, or they wait for the right “money fight” to throw him in so they can at least cash out big, whether he wins or loses.
