In terms of overall ability and achievements who would you rank the highest out of the 3 and who was the biggest waste of talent? To me I think these guys were similar to each other. You have 3 physically talented fighters, tall and lanky with good boxing skills, entertaining styles, and willingness to trade. But their big problems were terrible defense, fragility, and glass chins. Both had some nice wins over good opponents but also some bad losses as well.
I think Gonzalez might have achieved the most, and he was also the most technically skilled boxer.
Bump
Looks like Linares is supposed to get in the ring with Ryan Garcia should he win his next fight. It's kind of sad to see these 3 talented fighters be reduced to gatekeeper status. Hopefully Linares has enough left in him to pull an upset over Ryan Garcia much like Gonzalez did to Mares.
Linares, González, Khan
Of the 3, Linares is the only champ
Material at 135. Johnny’s resume is slightly superior but that’s ehh you have to factor what Linares can still accomplish. I favor Linares over Ryan Garcia for example.
Khan is a joke and a never was. I respect my Muslim brothers but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Khan has done nothing compared to Linares and Gonzalez.
Khan, Linares, Gonzales
I mean, Khan does have wins over Maidana, Zab Judah, Marco Antonio Barrera, Paulie Malignaggi, Luis Collazo, Devon Alexander etc. The resume definitely goes for him
Linares has pretty crazy hand speed as well, been watching some of his fights later on and was pretty damn impressed
Gonzales, well, dont know him that well, I know that he had a great KO win and upset against Mares whom he finished in the very first round but aside from that, I have only seen his loss for Gary Russell Jr (got finished in few rounds) and loss to Ponce de Leon
That being said, this is all just my uneducated opinion
Khan seemed to go down hill after he left Roach. He always had a weak chin but he still had some very good wins when he was with Roach and he was a champion. The Canelo loss seem take all the remaining fight out of him. He took a long time off after Canelo KOed him and he became a complete cherry picker fighting nobodies and still getting knocked down. He has a large loyal fan club and makes very good money even now. Crawford knocked him even further down hill and even more of a cherry picker beating up little Dibs. I think he is done at the top level. Perhaps if he had stayed with Roach he would have done better. Roach might have talked him out of figt Canelo and Roach seemed like a better trainer for him. He still would have been easily beaten by Crawford who is just vastly superior. Maybe Khan had the most potential of the three but I know Khan better than the other two and have followed his career closer.

Khan has the best resume of the 3.
And I'm a Khan hater
