That's a damn shame. I was looking forward to Usyk's proper debut at HW. He is getting injured often nowadays.
Thoughts?
Mode note: Russian language link removed.
Usyk didn't want any part of Takam, Parker and now Chisora.
The guy is a fraud at heavyweight and fakes 'injuries' to avoid real heavyweights! You are a fraud, not him: https://www.boxingscene.com/usyk-vs-chisora-confirmed-october-31--151921
I think Usyk will pick up a lot of injuries @ HW , I was looking forward to this also , chisora is a proper hand full now he’s fit , and isn’t an easy fight at all , It’s a good test to see how he does against a fighter with chisoras style of fighting
He doesn't want that smoke. He'll delay it again, Chisora will say f it and he'll rematch that guy he'll fight Dave Allen instead. I'll tell you all in one word what Usyk is doing...STALLING.
Smells like duck and walks like one but I hope you're wrong.
Chisora is a good first test for him, solid gatekeeper ceiling type fighter.
Usyk could prove to be a threat to everyone in the division if he can take HW power punches.
But the problem is that statement is already contradictory to Usyk's achievement
And exactly what has Usyk achieved at Heavyweight?
He ducked Takam, is now ducking Chisora and has fought once in the last year against a shot Chazz Witherspoon on short notice.
The guy is a fraud at heavyweight, has achieved nothing and is now holding the mandatory slot to ransom with supposed "injuries".
If AJ doesnt get stripped of the strap in question, Usyk should definitely get stripped of the mandatory shot for inactivity over a 12 month period.
But the problem is that statement is already contradictory to Usyk's achievement
I believe that he is overrated fighter, he was not a better Cruiser weight than David Haye or Evander Holyfield. Usky is a good solid fighter, but by no means is he this? Great technical innovator that certain people within the boxing media/sport try to promote him as etc Great fighters can move through weight classes and still dominate or have success 'Because they have attributes that are great'
When I look at Usyk as a fighter, I don't see any great attributes 'On previous threads? I have asked forum members to post me video footage of Usyk's great attributes, and nobody has been able to produce the footage.
Usyk will not beat any of the top heavyweights 'If he fights Derek Chisora, I would even back this version of Chisora to beat him etc'.
wow people really believing he is scared of Chrisora. LOL
if he beats chrisora It wont mean shiet to me I want him to fight a bigger threat.
But people in here really think chrisora is a threat? I cant see the same, maybe Im THAT wrong
He's not overrated... but he has no business at the heavyweights... Hearn took him only to put him in front of Joshua, at some point...
Usuck is very overrated.
Crap. I hooe Usyk is not gonna get Thurmaned where his career is hampered by injuries and inactivity. He marked hinself as the greatest Cruiserweight of all time. His legacy will grow bigger at HW.
:pat: He AINT the greatest cruiserweight of all time & he won't do jack shet at heavyweight either.
I'd be very surprised if he wanted to go an entire year of inactivity before fighting AJ. That would feel like a very short term approach to his career
It would be a smart one cuz he aint beating any of the top heavyweights.
Overrated by become Undisputed under 20 fights?:rofl: r3tard alert!
Read my other post in this thread 'I stand by my statement that he is completely overrated, the most overrated fighter I have seen within boxing for 10-15 years'
Time will tell, YOU will all see and understand.
He's not overrated... but he has no business at the heavyweights... Hearn took him only to put him in front of Joshua, at some point...
Usyk is overrated.
He is a well schooled fighter who has mastered the fundamentals, as a fighter 'That is it'. Usyk has not one single attribute which 'You can describe as great'.
Usually when fighters are moving up from the lower weight divisions, they have attributes which you can describe as great 'Which will negate the possible size advantages, that their competitors may have upon them etc'
David Haye had abnormal speed, power and defensive capabilities, Evander Holyfield was immensely durable and physically strong, and was a complete fighter from a technical perspective 'It was these great attributes which enabled them to compete at heavyweight'
Usyk has moved into the heavyweight division, with zero attributes that can be described as great 'He is just GOOD in every single area' which is why I described him as a well schooled fighter.
I have seen Usyk blocking punches with a high guard, I have seen him walk into punches with his gloves up around his head 'And I have observed that he seems to have a inability to fight on the inside'. Usyk is not this GREAT innovator of the game which people try and make him out to be 'He was being out boxed by a weight drained/dead at the weight Tony Bellew or at-least he was making it very competitive.
I don't see any conviction with Usyk's assault on the heavyweight division, I don't see the same kind of conviction that David Haye displayed when he stated 'It will be like the matrix, that is how bad I will make these heavyweights look'
And there is no conviction there because deep down, Usyk and his team do not have the self belief that ether David Haye or Evander Holyfield displayed when they invaded the heavyweight division.
Usyk's team are banking on all these heavyweights being so bad technically, that some how his boxing ability will negate the size/strength advantages that they may have 'Because as a fighter he has no real great attributes ZERO'.
Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk is the most overrated fighter I have seen in the past 10-15 years of boxing 'There seems to be a stereotype in boxing, where these fighters from former soviet countries are anointed with technical greatness' They are more easily described as great technical fighters over any other fighters in the game currently '70% OF Usyk reputation/credability is just one big stereotype'.
Usky is completely overrated.
I have been saying it for a long time in these forums 'Good fighter but most certainly not this all-time great innovator that people claim he is etc'
He's not overrated... but he has no business at the heavyweights... Hearn took him only to put him in front of Joshua, at some point...
