Okay gentlemen, looking through the schedules there are only two fights this weekend that really move the needle at all, young Ryan Garcia vs Francisco Fonseca and stiff German KO artist Vincent Feigenbutz vs Caleb Plant. Now, both these fights were put up in the Upcoming Pick Ems thread, but as things stand neither have received the 50% approval that was the threshold for inclusion in the game.
What that means is that currently there won't be any fights in the Pick Em this weekend - unless we get some more votes in - which would be kinda a shame cos it feels like we're just getting some momentum going.
So. I'm going ask for any players who haven't already voted on the 'Upcoming' thread here:

Please make your feelings known gents.
regards

Oh this game is getting you rattled up and making you get out of character. That’s a classic sign of desperation. Resorting to name calling isnt like you at all lol.
You are shook to the bone..
“Nothing too compelling this weekend, Koba”... in a girliest voice possible..

Ivy Leagues are strict..
Bush leagues take breaks.
:lol1: Well we work off the will of the players here, man, and I'm pretty sure no-one cares if Mr FinitoX considers this ish ivy or bush. But it's looking right now as if we got a majority interested in having this weeks fights in so I'll give it a couple more hours and then put the thread up.
Mann wsup with this taking a break sht lol. What, is somebody scared?
As some mentioned, it’s about picking the method too. There are alot more to this than just picking the winner outright.
Linares-Morales is doable as anybody who isnt featherfisted has a shot against him at this point.
Whatever happens, there shouldnt be any breaks during the season. That’s pretty gay.
Koba you know how I feel... let’s keep the dice rolling!
Garcia vs Fonseca might be more of a fight than people realize. Garcia is comin off that early KO of Gonzalez... they made it sound like he hit the lot of gold, passed the test so to speak.
Plant vs not gonna butcher his name might be a damn upset for all we know.
LETS GO CHAMP!!!!
OK gents Ima take the shoutout list I made above and transfer it to the OP of the Pck Em masterthread just so I can pull it up again easily in future.
I'm not sure whether this will result in you all getting another shout, but if does then please accept my apologies.

OK as things stand they've both come just over threshold at 53ish %. I got a coupla jobs on this a.m but if we're still over 50% when I get back I'll getthe thread up sometime this afternoon UK time.
It is hard to get too excited about either of 'em. I was thinking Feigenbutz vs Plant might be kinda competitve but then I rewatched some of Vincent's fights... funny how memory plays tricks on ya :lol1:
Still the kid can punch some even if he does move like a muscle bound robot. Besides if we're doing them it'd be more of a stay busy weekend. That's kinda what I'm trying to get a feel for I guess, more than about these particular fights - whether we shoehorn something in just for the sake of having a Pick Em or whether the players prefer to have a week off if that weeks fights ain't really worth it.
This weekend's a pass, Koba. Not worth the time....

Both fights will have close to zero picks for the underdog and there will be only a small points difference in the methods. So not very enticing.
There are some competitive prospect fights, but not sure if there is enough footage available for these fighters.
Shobox has a triple header with competitive matches.
Also,
Alexis Rocha Vs Brad Solomon sounds alright (havent seen rocha fight yet though)
Linares Vs Carlos Morales (Is Linares shot?)
Bryant Perella Vs Abel Ramos is a decent gatekeeper fight.
But those are niche fights and Im not sure if everyone wants to look into those fights.
Yeah typically we wouldn't go than far down the tables unless there was a compelling reason to do so, but I might have broadened the net a little if I'd realised we didn't have much on this weekend. Thing to do when we put up the Upcoming theread for March is post and mention any of these kinda fights you'd like to see in and make sure to upvote the kind of fights you like. Can't say we'll always get the more competitive match ups, but the more votes or mentions they get the more we're likely to take it into account when we're picking out potential future Pick Ems.
Plant-Feigenbutz is ok I guess, considering it’s a world title fight. I don’t expect it to be that competitive though.
Garcia-Fonesca is too one sided IMO, it’s more of a keep busy fight for Garcia really.
