GGG is/ was the most overrated p4p entrant in recent years
some had him as high as 3, others had him as #1 and they were clearly basing it on kos
the same people who say " this fighter or that fighter has ko's over who?" should apply this logic to GGG
Of all his fights competing with top middleweights he has not looked impressive.....2 fights with canelo, one with Jacobs could have gone either way and also Sergiy Derevyanchenko was a life and death struggle
to this day he doesnt have a clear win over an elite or p4p guy
winning trinkets and being elevated as champion doesnt warrant that type of hype
eat crow Golov-tards....very good fighter just simply was never a great one or an all time great
You are now saying he is a good fighter but you need to start multiple hate threads on him because some fans and the media try to make make him a monster. Sounds like exactly what you have done in regards to Ward. Maybe fans should be free to decide how good a boxer is for themselves without coming to you first for permission.
hate and not hyping someone that you like isnt the same, sorry bruh
ward has was a 2 weight champion and actually won all his titles in the ring.
no one brought up ward, you did sorry bro:bottle:
how the **** are you right all along when GGG had had 20 title defenses already
arguably should still be a champ right now
:dunce::spank:
defenses are not combined for regular titles and the super title, he was not lineal or the only wba champion and got elevated
thank yoy, come again
the record holder is carlos monzon with 14 and hopkins holds the most defenses of a major title
TheFakePuglist just got checkmated.
Now disappear again and don’t come back and go fantasize about Mayweather in the confines of that lonely bedroom of yours.
Thank you Panda, everything you said was what I was thinking.
when you start a post off with an insult, there is no need to read the rest...rest assured....i didnt :bottle:

He SO OLD!!
Big surprise for a young guy starting a stupid thread.
This is the 3nd thread you have started this week hating on GGG. You seem obsessed with hating him and convincing this forum to hate him as much as you do. He was number 1 on every reputable pound for pound best list for many years in his prime. Why do you think that is if he is as lousy as you claim? He is almost 38 so like every other boxer alive he isn't as good as he once was. He is still a world champion and still good enough to be rated in the top 7 pound for pound best fighters in the world by the main lists right now so GGG fans are not eating crow. He is pound for pound the 3rd best fighter in the world by Boxrec, The 6th best in the world by ESPN and the 7th best pound for pound fighter in the world by Ring magazine. There is no other 37 year old boxer rated so highly pound for pound. The ones rated ahead of him are many years younger and will be retired before they are his age.
he was NEVER the #1 P4P you muppet
NOT EVER !! :lol1:
and anyone who thought he was has no idea what P4P means
you golov-clowns are just as bad as the pac-tards
ward proved he was great by getting gift decisions and cheating nonstop? he's trash. he can't box. that is proven. you know how we know that? because when he fights bums like paul smith he doenst do any of that!
Ward has a resume... Golovkin, does not :bottle::bottle::bottle:

Andre Ward beat a TRUCKLOAD of guys who are better than Golovkins victims
his resume is cut in stone
Golovkin's 2nd best win is Lemieux... who would not even get a mention on Ward's resume... Abraham is not a top Ward opponent, but he is much better than Lemieux
this discussion is about greatness... which has to be proven
not guessness... which is just silly fanboy stuff
when it comes to greatness, there is no argument... you either proved it, or you did not
Ward proved it... Golovkin did not... /discussion

so, the thread starter was correct...
Well... depends on your definition I guess. I was asked a coupla years ago where i thought Golovkin landed as a great and I said I might just be able to squeeze him into a MW top 20. Ain't really done anything since then to make me think much different.
Problem with you, probably some of the other dudes who wasted years of your life ragging on Golovkin you act as if cos one or two guys claimed GGG was some ATG legend that everyone who likes GGG thought the same thing which was never the case.
That said I would point out that the post you quote was referencing a P4P / H2H discussion, not accomplishments or greatness. They're two slightly different things although the TS mentions both.
and Darnell Boone put Andre Ward on the floor. So what?

That's a fair argument. If Golovkin had run into a fighter or fighters that had caused him real problems that he'd been unable to overcome earlier in his career it would be fair to rank him down accordingly.
He didn't though so all we got is speculation one way or another and the actual fights with Canelo to base his ceiling on.
so, the thread starter was correct...
very good fighter just simply was never a great one or an all time great
- -Well, to be fair to the current Ring ratings staff at least trying to get it right, that was a takeover of Ring by a coked out fishnets Oscar who installed the mentally senile Giampa as the p4p Czar who passed away after a year.
Yeah, dwarf Rhees gave Boner hell-comedy times!
Haha yes agreed mate, they're much better these days than that phase they went through a few years back.
very good fighter just simply was never a great one or an all time great
GGG is solid and his fights with Canelo 1&2, Jacobs, and Dervychenko prove that. You have to give his some credit. Sure his resume before that was crap but when it was time to fight the best he actually did well. You are acting like he lost to a journey man and got exposed. Put it this way, GGG is probably still the betting favorite to anyone that is below Canelo.
I think the majority of folks on here think he would win against the following:
Charlo
Andrade
Ebanks
BJS
Munguia
Derevy 2
Jacobs 2
But honestly he's already getting too old so maybe taking one last big fight and then mandos is good enough to retire.
you basically agreed with the thread starter
Golovkin owns some serious real estate in A LOT of guys heads on here.
There seems to be a GGG thread every couple days and he has no fight coming up lol
Puzzling that ain't it?
I mean, you can kinda get it when the dude's in the news or whatever, but there does seem to have been a sudden upswing in GGG related threads just this last coupla days for no reason I can fathom.
EDIT: Mmm. I just wondering if it's maybe something to do with Rold's 'The 2010s In the rankings' series. Looks like GGG s figuring to rank pretty highly there. Maybe that's what got folk excited.
As for 'the most overrated p4p entrant in recent years', that is Broner's number 6 placement after beating Rees. It's going to be a long while before that one is beaten.

people can go on and claim "if you knock golovkin you downgrade canelo"...which is a sad copout....
canelo is 29...he has titles in 4 classes...at 24 he fought the top p4p guy in the sport....
if you remove golovkin from canelos resume it still stands on its own(yes the gggroupies and canelo haters will try to pick holes in it i know)......if you remove canelo from golovkins resume it doesnt stand up...and hes 8 years older....
canelo waited until he was comfortable making the move to golovkins weight division......thats its....lames try to make it more than what it is
