He has been given a second chance to try this now with his gift over Derev. But will he be able to deliver this time, or will he need to rely on titles being handed to him like the one he got from Derev?
GGG didn't get a gift over Dervy and you are a GGG hater or why else would you start this thread? GGG vs Dervy could have gone either way. if it could go either way, its a gift to the one getting it.
but you are right that I shouldnt take anything away from this debatable win against a decent 14 fight guy.
SO i say well done GGG! His 2nd best win ever!
Why do you guys act like GGG has been fighting top opposition since he was in his 20's?
That boy didn't step up until he was like 34
Did I say that? No! I said he’s on the decline. It’s called age, doesn’t matter who he’s faced, he’s slowing down like most men his age start to do, as you will also one day do too as well.
Golovkin is still fighting to finish his contract and to avenge his loss..expecting the guy to unify at 37 or whatever he is would be asking entirely too much of someone with his diminishing abilities

GGG vs Dervy could have gone either way and just as many viewers thought he won as thought he lost. How can he possibly unify 160 when Canelo is ducking him until he turns 40? Canelo also refused to fight Dervy and lost his IBF middleweight world title and then GGG beat the guy Canelo refused to fight. A better question is Mr. Perfect Man Canelo ever going to unify any weight class. Hell no, he never will and he is only 29 not pushing 38.
Canelo certainly doesn't want to unify either. He gave up his IBF title rather than fight Dervy. GGG beats Dervy but Canelo still refuses to fight him for GGG's new world title. Canelo passed up Andrate and Jermall to beat up washed up paid off Kovalev instead, That is not unifying a damn thing. Canelo left 175 after beating the only 175 pound champion he could beat. As for money both GGG and Canelo have deals with DAZN that pays GGG 16 million a fight and Canelo 35 million a fight no matter who they fight. Canelo loves that money just as much as GGG. Wake up, Canelo lover. Canelo wll NEVER be a unified champion at any weight be it 160, 168 or 175. He will continue to bounce from weight class to weight class fighting the weaker champions and leaving the better champions alone and you can count on that. GGG won't unify any weight class either but hell, he is almost 38 while Canelo is 29 and still in his late prime.
