Ruiz would have a tough time closing the distance. But when he’s in he probably can do some work. But Wilder doesn’t have a glass jaw like AJ. Ruiz also will still be fat and in poor shape. So once it goes past three rounds he will most likely eat a right hand and get KOd
Great matchup, if Ruiz can take wilders best shot, imo he can, he'll likely overwhelm wilder with his hand speed
This basically. It depends whether Ruiz can take Wilder’s power or not. If he can, Wilder won’t be able to keep up with Ruiz’s firepower. If he can’t, well....
I think ruiz would get dropped multiple times and stopped on his feet mid rounds. Although he could make things tricky early on but once wilder lands game over.
Deontay Wilder v. Andy Ruiz, Jr.
Who wins and why?
I would have to favor Wilder by KO because:
1. Wilder actually trains consistently
2. Ruiz isn't sneaking up on anyone anymore
3. Wilder was most troubled by Tyson Fury, a slick-boxing big man with uncommon mobility and defensive prowess for his size, and even he got dropped twice. Ruiz looks more like a better version of Bermane Stiverne and Wilder dominated Stiverne.
4. The only way I could see Ruiz winning is if he dropped some weight (maybe 30 or 40 lbs from where he was in the Joshua rematch) and improved his foot speed and stamina so he could force the action and invade Wilder's space so he can't load up with the right hand. That in and of itself is a big risk and he could get knocked out anyway but following Wilder around with a high guard and lead feet is way worse.
People forget that Ruiz was not a top 10 before fighting Joshua...may be there is a reason for that. He ain't as good as people are trying to make him look. He has a good chin and great hand speed at close-up fighting. His foot movement and head movement isn't great, he has reach disadvantage and the only reason he was able to beat Joshua the first time around was because Joshua stood there like a robot willing trade.
Wilder is much more agile than Joshua, creates unorthodox angles and probably has a better chin/recovery. With Ruiz's stationary head, he is in for a big right hand and with Wilder's agility, he will find hitting Wilder more difficult than AJ 1 fight. He couldn't do anything in the AJ 2 fight where Joshua was more mobile.
Therefore, Ruiz struggles against all top fighters - Fury, Joshua, Wilder. He even struggled against Parker. He makes a good opponent for Whyte, Ortiz, Joyce, etc.
You make good points, however Andy Ruiz was in the Ring magazine top-10 at heavyweight in 2016 and 2017 before dropping out in 2018 due to inactivity. He has always been a talented guy; it's just that his work ethic hasn't been as consistent as it should be. He does have limitations obviously, however I still see him as a guy who can be a tough out and even pull the upset if he's at his best and his opponent doesn't take him seriously.
Ruiz turns up 300 and retires on his stool after 7th.
if you go to la... there is always a guy like ruiz selling tamales..at or outside of a store called target or home depo
I fancy Wilder. To powerful and strong for Ruiz. It may go like the Wilder/Ortiz rematch.Ruiz is winning then Wilder undoes his good work. One punch /lights out.
Wilder's foot-speed, distance control would be too much for Ruiz..... he'd get nailed eventually. Wilder wouldn't trade with him and Joshua has already laid the blueprint how to shut-out Ruiz.

Tough to say. If Ruiz can press all the time and throw so many punches like Kownacki does, he will win as his chin is definitely top three in the division. If he fights OTOH like in his 2nd Joshua fight Wilder will win.
i can not green k you best regards

I think prior to the AJ rematch, Ruiz would likely have got inside and potentially KO'd wilder. However now AJ has set a blueprint for a tall guy with a jab, Wilder could quite easily Stivern 1 Ruiz all over again, potentially KO him late too and 1 up AJ.
I'd love to see it but I don't suppose it will ever happen.
