Or not been tested much because fear of his right hand. In his title fights outside of Ortiz 1 in the 7th round I don't he has been hurt or buzzed. He rarely takes good shots or gets hit clean.
Will anybody ever force him into a Holyfield Bowe type fight? Or does his reach and right always protect him from a war?
If I can recall correctly, Molina hurt had him hurt briefly in their bout in 2015. However, other than that I agree. He has never been seriously hurt or in trouble until or since the first Luis Ortiz bout.
yes and yes. if someone is completely short circuited, it generally takes a bit longer for their legs to come back...especially after 12 full rounds when the body is tired. i don't think fury's legs were ever gone in that instance. i think he got in an awkward position reacting to the right hand and was hit with the left hook when he was off balance. they were solid shots, but i don't buy that fury was "knocked out".
And that’s why I compared his recovery to Marquez who we often saw short circuit and then get right back up. Fury was hurt and he was dropped. His legs went out. We’ve seen it against Cunningham too (which was a fantastic shot) and each time he just takes a second and gets right back up.
I don't see why that's difficult for you to believe...have you been in the ring? Been staggered?

Deontay's victories are driving people crazy. He defies everything that they thought they knew about the sport of boxing. They just can't believe that this wild swinging, skinny black man from Alabama is the #1 heavyweight in the world.
So you’re saying in a matter of 7-8 seconds fury’s legs would have went from being totally gone to not even slightest stagger?

To say he has a great chin at this point is just lying to yourself.
If he gets by "Pillow fist" (the same "Pillow Fist" who destroyed the guy that King Kong "Boogeyman" couldn't) a second time, then he needs to face some real competition.
Any of the WBC top 10 will do (Apart from Ortiz III - PMSL really??? ****ing 4th??? for what??? lmfao)
EDIT - Hell, take Ortiz out of the current WBC top 15 rankings and each and everyone of those chaps has a shout at being Wilders best win!... just ****ing wow, and this is the champ???
I think he is a skinnier guy, usually lighter than other bigger dudes, so I think he can be hurt (obviously as he's been buckled a couple times and down against Sconiers).
But he keeps himself in great shape, don't hear of him abusing his body and such, great fighting spirit that he can hardly hold back ...my feeling is that it's not a great chin, but still well preserved. It hasn't been cracked yet ...and the fact that he takes care of himself means that going to take extra to really get him out. ..the extra should be body punching against his skinnier body
I think he felt Fury's body shots in that first fight, he slowed considerably from a couple of those, I think if Fury wants to really try for a KO, more body punching and better leverage overall, more grinding might get him further to that goal.
Ortiz, Fury, Brezeale, Ortiz, Fury.
How’s he being protected???
Old man, ex fat coke head, who? and even older man....
This Fury fight, Wilder is finally facing a tricky opponent, and yet it all depends on which Fury turns up.
VERY protected.
Wilder isn't even the best heavyweight at the PBC.... the blob that KO'd the robot bodybuilder would eat Wilder with no training camp.... and i dont mean literally.

- -Sloppy defense has cost him more brain cells than $ made.
Already been dropped 2x by low level journeymen.
Ripe for a breakdown!
So who are/were the best HW chins in your opinion?
Out of active top heavyweights andy ruiz has the best chin bar none . Parker has a good set of whiskers too

Harold sconiers dropped him and had him on queer street . But that's prolly been mentioned 17 times by now . To answer the question I think wilders chin is fine until proven otherwise . Is it great ?? I dont think so but its reliable enuff

Foreman use to eat shots as did Tyson,Holyfield, Oliver McCall was in a class with himself...David Tua also had a granite chin
No, I said at the time that Fury has probably the best recovery that I've seen from any fighter since JMM. He was obviously hurt at the time, but he took the count, got up and I'm glad the fight wasn't stopped.
Had he not stayed down for the count, and tried to get up right away he likely would have given us that Zab Judah dance though.

Naw, I think he has a strong will similiar to Mayweather..They are always in top shape so they will take 1 or 2 but will be badly hurt...Great chins walk thru massive shots without buckling

That’s a very astute observation.

I am not sure if there are enough talented or durable heavyweights at present to do that. AJ may have enough skill and power, but his chin is suspect. Fury may have a decent (not iron, but decent) chin and good boxing skills, but no power. That is why I NEED to see Wilder face Parker, Ruiz, and Kownacki before I come to a conclusion. That said, here are five from the past few decades who I think could take Wilder down fairly easy by KO:
1. Muhammad Ali
He avoids Wilder’s best shots and gets up if caught. Finds Wilder’s weaknesses and puts him down mid or late rounds via accumulative damage.
2. Mike Tyson
Wilder would not have been able to play the waiting game with Iron Mike like he usually can. Mike gets inside and puts him down and out early with a barrage of body and head shots.
3. Oliver McCall
McCall’s chin was just too good. I see him winning close against Wilder, probably by late TKO.
4. Wladimir Klitschko
I think Wlad would have fought an ugly, but successful fight against Wilder, and gotten him around the seventh round with a sneaking overhand right to the temple.
5. Lennox Lewis
I think Lennox uses his reach advantage to keep Wilder at bay, and then when the opportune time comes, puts him down and out (most likely around the fifth or sixth round).
Naw, I think he has a strong will similiar to Mayweather..They are always in top shape so they will take 1 or 2 but will be badly hurt...Great chins walk thru massive shots without buckling
People use Ortiz as evidence of Wilder's chin. He got hurt once and survived.
People used to do the same for Joshua. He took massive shots from Klitschko and survived.
Fact is... one occasion isn't enough evidence. Wilder still needs to be tested.
