thats fair...i get it
but still....eubank at this point, while prob not as tricky and as good as andrade, is still about as good of a fight/win....its not like andrade has beaten anyone even close to good or special.....i get that sulecki isnt bad....hes def the best guy andrade has fought
im actually not that high on Andrade. I wasnt high on him when GGG was being accused of ducking him, and Im not any higher on him now. It makes no sense for GGG, or Canelo to fight Andrade. He cant draw ants to a picnic, and his style bores people to tears.
But Charlo is a different story. He hasnt even beaten a top 10 middleweight yet. A Charlo-Andrade fight is needed to sort out who is the next middleweight boogeyman. Or maybe a charlo-derev and andrade-eubank mini-tournament, and the winners fight each other........ (or any combination of those guys. I said Charlo-derev as i figured that was the easiest fight to make)

Andrade is a world champion and is offering $7 million.
That's a better fight for several reasons.
Boxrec is decent, but not without flaws. Their algorithm is unable to provide context as to where fighters are at in their careers.
For example, if Kownacki beat Riddick Bowe tomorrow, that win would undoubtedly move Kownacki to #1, based on Bowe's record and resume. Boxrec cannot factor in how shot someone was.
So I think its reasonable to believe that more weight was given to the abraham and degale wins on Eubanks record than maybe should have been.
There is no perfect system. Boxrec, despite its flaws, can take a good bit of the bias out of rankings. It just must be taken as being debatable........

This is the matchup im looking forward to the most for Charlo. Eubank will force him to fight and Charlo wont have the space to pose and sht.
I think Eubank could beat him.
To his credit I've never seen Charlo "forced to fight" in any of his fights.
He always takes the action to his opponent.
I mean fans need to move on and accept the fact that he's never going to cross the street at any price.
This Eubank fight could be a good scrap.
the argument is that the boxrec system takes resume into account.....

I'll just repeat what I wrote in my last post in another thread:
So how much is Charlo getting in the impending Eubank fight? $5 million?
And do you think Eubank Jr would accept $2 million when he knows
he's the only choice they got?
This is the father and son team who turned down £5 million for the GGG fight
a year or so ago.
i don't only look at the boxrec ratings....I know Andrade well..were both from RI...ive been following him since he was a kid
I don't disagree that he may present a more difficult puzzle than eubank....but that's not the end all be all....andrades resume stinks to the high heavens....eubank, even in defeat, has been in with some solid guys...and even bigger guys like groves....
remember back when lara was calling for a fight with golovkin and it fell on deaf ears? well lara would have been the best name on golovkins resume and probably been a more difficult puzzle to solve than some of golovkins opponents around that time
Andrade has fought nobody noteworthy....and nobody really watches his fights because he fights mostly nobodies.....aside from sulecki who isn't really a big name just a solid scalp...
through andrades own fault, and some of hearns, Andrade isn't that appealing...Andrade did next to nothing before DAZN and he hasn't done much more since getting there
theres a reason boxrec has eubanks several spots ahead of Andrade...because resume counts and their rankings cut through the BS
Fair enough, and I would have liked to see Golovkin take on Lara at that time. One could argue that elusive boxers get fewer opportunities than less-defensive, all-action fighters because the former is tougher to beat and/or look good against. Boxing is entertainment too though, so I get it in that sense. Hopefully Andrade will get his "Shane Mosley" opportunity like Winky Wright did.
I feel the same way. Many people only look at the boxrec ratings but I think it's important to go a step further and look at the actual matchup. Derevyanchenko is both technically skilled and relentless.

Derevyanchenko vs Charlo is a better fight imo. Eubank is very strong physically and will keep coming to KO Charlo but he is just not good enough technically.

eubank is ranked #3 at mw by boxrecs computerized rankings...andrade is 7th...lol...yeah he ducking andrade though lol
you guys all caught up in your "belts" though..."oh unify unify unify"...lol...
That's all well and good, and I think Charlo-Eubank Jr. will be an entertaining matchup. I just happen to think that for all of his heart and athleticism, Eubank Jr. will be eating shots all night whereas Andrade would represent a tougher puzzle to solve. Either way I won't complain about a good fight as Charlo-Eubank is infinitely better than Charlo-Hogan.
But TBH though despite Korobov having a good first round, I doubt he would have finished the fight since Eubank is a slow starter and would heat up at the start of the third. I think he would have stopped Korobov regardless if he was healthy because Korobov was old and has avg power, while Eubank has a great chin, a gas tank and great power.
Hmmm I agree Eubank is good at bringing on the pressure but I don’t think it would be as straight forward cause Korobov does one-up him in the skills department and is pretty durable himself usually. Charlo who I think is more talented than Eubank only just got by him.
Anyway no issues with any predictions made, I only took issue with Larry saying that Eubank “literally KO’d” Korobov..... I mean he must have only boxrec checked the fight without watching it.

It has been stated in detail numerous times that it is literally up to Charlo if he only wants to take 7 mil for 1 fight,& in fact Hearn even offered to send Andrade to pbc if Charlo wants to. He doesn't seem to want any parts of Andrade under any circumstances which is why he did a video interview saying he is not interested in non cashcows & specifically said he won't fight Andrade point blank. But this link goes into more detail
there is no quote from hearn regarding $7 mil. like i said, it’s very easy to fool people. just accept that, stop following the narrative and ask yourself, if the money isnt the same, what exactly is “similar?”
