Canelo cant make below 160 now i think 160 would be kinda a struggle which is why hes staying at 168 less the price right. Bud canelo 160-68 bud would get ktfo. Yet an imaginary fight. Bud cant even get spence cause he generates no views or $ Spence does 350 at best bud does half that . canelo does a million or close. $ not there , bud aint going to 160 let alone 168.
At a lower weight Canelo wouldn’t be at his best. Let’s be real though, there is a zero chance this fight would happen at anything lower than 160.
Canelo the clear A side, Crawford would come to him.
I’m only looking at a scenario when Canelo could still make 154 back in 2011-2013. 2012 Canelo vs Crawford?

Crawford’s biggest strength is his ability to bully his way to go for the kill when he can’t fully outbox an opponent, but he’d play right into Canelo’s hand by doing so. They’re both natural-born bullies, but power and size do matter. Canelo looks like more well-rounded boxer. I’m still skeptical about Crawford’s inside game.
I wont disagree with you I just feel the better version of Canelo is 160+ he wasnt as sharp or unbeatable looking at 154
You’re right, but even then, I feel like he’d still beat this version of Crawford. Crawford will have problems against any good counter-puncher and Canelo would get a lot of shots in. Benavidez fought a good against Crawford and that fight might’ve been a great one if he had both knees..
I don’t see it. Crawford is good boxer-puncher, but he does leave himself open to get countered at close range. Canelo can take a punch to land a bigger one. I don’t see how Crawford wins this fight. He’s not really a pure sharpshooter who can systematically pick his opponent. He can box well from the outside, but I feel like Canelo’s punches are crispier and sharper. Crawford would only have a footwork advantage and that’s it.

147??? are you high? canelo can't make 154. no ****ing shot he gets to 147 lbs. it would kill him. whoa re you guys and what are youi doing when the rest of us are watching the fights? on what planet could canelo make 147 again?????
I’m not talking about now. I know damn well Canelo can’t make 147, 154, 160, and barely holding on at 168 now. I’m strictly talking hypothetically way back then when Canelo used to fight at 154. How would that version of Canelo play out against current Crawford.

Hypothetically speaking if they met at 154 I could see Bud being dropped early but still winning a close UD or SD in a technical fight. Bud has length and great fundamentals. Canelo is and awesome counter puncher but really wasnt his best at the lower weight class.

Seriously?
Lol. Ok. Canelo is a super middleweight, Crawford is a welterweight. It would likely go the same was as Canelo -Khan. Crawford would be outboxing Canelo before Canelo would stop him ice cold.
Canelo is huge for welterweights.
And no, Canelo can`t make 154 anymore.

If Canelo could still make 147 or 154, how would a fight with Crawford plays out?Canelo probably can't make 160 comfortably anymore and he may never fight at 160 again. He would probably be very drained at 154 and he has not fought at 147 in many years so that weight is out of the question. Crawford is not a big welterweight and easily makes 147. They are too far apart in fighting weight to make a fair fight. If you could make them the same weight naturally then I think it would be an even fight but I would pick the younger Canelo to win. Canelo seems at his peak while I think the older Crawford is past his peak but still very good.
These two would match up well . Besides the weight disparity . Too much hypothetical theories to give a true breakdown for me . But in a head to head sense as is . I think It would be very competitive . Crawford as a southpaw could possibly give nelo fits . And canelo could simply break bud down. Cinnamon ain't as crude as he used to be and crawford ain't floyd . The reason I mention that is I sense that fight being brought up as a refrence and as I already thought about it I think it's a poor refrence . This is a pick em fight and as the title says assuming nelo still makes 47 I'd lean towards saul.
Stylistically, it would be an interesting fight. Crawford can box on the outside, but he’s easy to hit. Canelo doesn’t have good lateral movements or footwork, but he’s better at fighting on the inside than Crawford.
At this point Canelo would be too drained even if he could somehow still manage to get down to 154. I dont think Bud could get the KO but he would win a wide decision and deliver a beating down the stretch of the fight imo.
That would be a clear case of poetic justice but Canelo would have zero motivation to do it for anyone other than Floyd or maybe Pac.
