Mayweather fought Berto over Khan as well. Mayweather didn't want to fight Khan, and Khan had the tool to cause Mayweather a lot of issues. And this Maidana was every bit as good as the one that beat Broner and got robbed by Maywether. Plus he wasn't force to wear pillows. Mayweather likes an easy fight with big reward, the fact he never faced Khan tells you he didn't think it was an easy fight. You really need to go back and watch that fight. Maidana landed loads of clean shots on Khan. That fight actually made me a Khan fan cause he showed so much heart. Maidana was a far better fighter under Robert Garcia, that’s universally accepted. Honestly bro you just sound like a hater... How can you say Mayweather likes easy fights.😂 He has one of the best resumes of the last 20 years. He consistently fought elite opponents. Khan doesn’t need him... He got a big payday against Crawford and another good payday in Saudi Arabia. Khan’s name still has value, whilst Brooks doesn’t and never really has. It’s relatively big fight over here (UK) but in the context of world boxing it’s pretty meaningless nowadays. Brook needs to just move to 154 and try and reclaim a world title. He should fight Liam Smith IMO. 100% its only big in UK but Khan ain't getting anymore shots like that right now . They are both hungry for some money and they can give it to each other at home in a fight either guy could win at this point . The reason I say this is I dont think brook has it in him to beat anyone of note . I think he would go life and death with beefy even at this point but I'll reserve judgement until I see him fight deluca and give him the old eye ball test . Floyd is a counter puncher. fast hands, a long jab, taller longer and a good engine. Floyd didn't want to take the risk. Khan offered Floyd more money than Maidana and Berto. Berto was a B class fighter, even Ortiz beat him Crawford is a counter puncher... Prescott beat Khan... If Crawford, Garcia, Canelo could time Khan, Floyd would do it easily. I agree but it actually appears brook was ready to sign recently . These guys need each other imo at this point they need to stop blowing smoke and put the gloves on Khan doesn’t need him... Berto has as good a resume (if not better) at Welterweight as Khan. Khan was coming off a very average performance against Algieri and once again the demand for the fight wasn’t truly there. I’m not saying Berto was the right choice but it was the last fight (real fight) of his HOF career, and it was more of a farewell fight/showcase. Floyd would time Khan easily, look how easily Crawford timed him. It’s an easy W for Floyd. I never had that much interest in seeing it tbh, I’d honestly put it in the same category as Mayweather-Berto or Mayweather-Ortiz.
