It’s being reported that police , who were on site after Spence was ejected from his Ferrari , have found a gun near the crash
Don’t know if he’s getting charged for it or not but as previously stated , blood was drawn and he was charged with a DUI
This is the reason why he was told by his lawyers not to speak about the case , not because of the DUI situation I’m insinuating
The DUI is a pretty cut clean situation but not the loaded revolver
If he was drunk driving with an illegal pistol, he would have given that interview from behind a glass panel lol
Apparently they did not find the gun immediately... and of course, they have to prove it was illegal...
THIS!
Even though this is Texas, TX does not have super lenient gun laws... and when it comes to CCW, it is fairly strict.
Booze + CCW (concealed carry) is a HUGE nono.
That is assuming the gun is legal, too. lol. or if he got from someone else.

Not sure about Texas, but lots of states will get you in A LOT of **** for having a concealed weapon while intoxicated. Even if you have CCW.
When I used to drink, Whenever I'd go to Detroit my buddy would always have to go drop off his pistol when we'd go out. He had all of his paperwork, but if he was caught with it while Intoxicated he'd be ****ed.

Not sure what the gun laws are in Texas, but if the gun was in the car (glovebox) during the accident would that still be an issue?
depends state to state. Some states you can't keep it in the glovebox but can keep it in the trunk. Not sure on Texas, since they just recently got CCW laws I believe. (could be open carry, going off memory here)
The DUI charges in Texas are F bad for the people charged. We had a guy who had to get in his car and blew into a Breathalyzer 3 times a day even when he was at home and not driving. He also had a parole officer come to his place each day.
Errol should be in jail just with the video evidence.
This is not a joke.
Don’t see how that could be much of a real problem in Texas.
It shouldn't be much of a problem for him, but in Texas, it is against the law to drive while intoxicated. It is also against the law to have a loaded gun on you( even if in your car) if you are intoxicated.
Is it possible the gun was in the trunk of the Ferrari? Which would mean it was in the front of the car. Idk anything about gun laws. But if the gun is locked in the trunk does it count the same as if it was inside the car? I’m from NYC so I have no clue how these things work.
Im not fully familiar with Texas law about carrying but the assumptions you make are likely the reasons hes remaining silent. If his lawyers can convince the prosecutors they dont have a case for the gun bcuz it was or couldve been in a "safe" place, thatll leave his lawyers fighting 1 less charge. He maybe facing felony DUI so its better to get the smaller charges dropped and get some kind of delayed judgement on the bigger 1. I.E. pay a fine, take classes, do probation for a year & have the charge lowered or dismissed.
Yeah its not a huge deal but its a Misdemeanor to carry a gun while intoxicated in Texas. Unless the guns illegal somehow or Spence isnt allowed to carry; His lawyer is likely working a plea so Spence needs to stay quiet.

Was it Spence’s body firing out like a missile?
Lol, u know what i mean. Its Texas, the prosecution will look more deeply into the DUI itself vs the gun.

Both are misdemeanors unless Spence is a felon or the gun was stolen. Besides the gun in this instance wasnt the most dangerous weapon.
Your right , the most dangerous weapon that night was Errol Spence Jr himself
Don’t see how that could be much of a real problem in Texas.
There still keeping it on the hush so there must be a problem even though it’s in Texas
The revolver was loaded which is a problem in the Lone State
