So we finally got a chance to see Tank Davis go 12 rounds against decent opposition, how would you rate his boxing skills from a technical standpoint?
What did you think of Leo Santa Cruz's technical boxing skills in the Frampton and Mares rematches?
I really think this fight is going to be a chess match.
Santa Cruz but why is Tank trying to fight another little guy?
Santa Cruz is a champ at 130 so if Davis drops down to fight him then theres nothing wrong with that.
Tank is the more complete out of the 2. LSC would need high volume and even then Tank is decent counter puncher off the back foot. LSC has the tools to neutralize Tank but at 135 LSC is out gunned. Uphill battle.
Nothing about Santa Cruz is particularly impressive to me...whereas tank has a certain explosiveness and apparent punching power. Not sure who the better technical boxer is, but at 135lbs, the fight is a bit of a joke.
I agree about the 135 comments. Santa Cruz would be a fool to take the fight at Lightweight.

oh trust me..im not writing him off after saturday night....but theres a bunch of people who are/have.....but most of those people were just looking for a reason to anyway
Hahaha yeah Tank seems to be one of the hated ones lately. I think people are just sick of him fighting smaller guys but Santa Cruz at 130 is a good fight imo.
stick around and read some threads ....youll soon learn tank cant crack an egg at 135 after seeing him there once
It took Lomachenko 2 or 3 fights at 135 for power to show up I think it will be the same case for Tank.

I dont think either of them are close to being elite fighters from what ive seen. As to who is better, i dont know, probably santa cruz
I think Santa of these two is the more polished.
The rematches against Frampton and Mares showed Santa Cruz wasn't just a face first brawler. He boxed the crap out of those guys when he chose to. He'll need to do that for 12 rounds against Tank.

*edit*
Chess match if its at 130. Santa Cruz gets steamrolled at 135 imo.
