Has a foreign ever really been the FACE of American boxing:
Mayweather or Manny: Cleary Mayweather!
Mike Tyson or Chavez: Clearly
Tyson!
Oscar or whoever: Clearly Oscar!
Canelo failed to crossover and has stop trying to appeal to Americans.
A case can be made for Lennox Lewis. Any others?
Manny Pacquiao was the face of boxing. Why pretend as if he wasn't?
This ends the thread. Now it's between Canelo or Joshua. That double ends the thread
Edit: Okay maybe not Joshua
Yes
For a brief time, and at their height;
GGG
Duran
Lennox
Pacquiao
Were all the face of 'american boxing'
If you look carefully at those names, they were loved by americans because there was a 'home fighter' americans were hating on. Kinda like Republicans liking Russia over their fellow Democrat countrymen. Weird but true

Why bother explain another inbreed who knows nothing and when they get upset they will just block from their post. remember some of these little boys live at home and never seen a fight from before 2010 :sucks::headbang:
Racist cunnnt piece of ****tttt
Go back to Africa.Calm down, man! What's eating you? I concede that Canelo is more likely than not the biggest draw in boxing; Especially here in North America. So yes he is probably the face of American boxing without question.
In the U.K. It's clearly Anthony Joshua. He's box office. He sells more tickets and Pay Per Views than any other boxer over the pond and in that part of the world.
