Mayweather was the best fighter of the 2000's AND the 2010's Nel o has a better career in the 2010s and i don't even like him. But 20 fights is more impressive than 7 fights of any worth for floyd. There's no logical reason to think flouds win over green cw nelo, literally at his weakest ever in career, and a former flyweight can make you a Fotd nominee even. Floyd s year 2000-2010 was better. He only took a career break in 2000-2010. 2015 onwards he went AWOL

The only thing Floyd is remembered for in decade is denying people fights they wanted to see as Floyd went AWOL for nearly 5 years. So many fights could have been made, with thurman, spence, nel o rematch on the table. Going AWOL when things hotting up is something floyds known for. that isnt true because many publications has sugar ray leonard as fighter of the decade he he had a combined 4-5 years of no fights in the decade some publications had manny the 2000s fighter of the decade? how? he lost to a past prime erik morales and knocked down marquez all those times, technically lost more rounds but salvaged a draw. Great fighter but its simply i like him or i dont like him type decision, anyone who isnt biased knows mayweather was clearly the most talented fighter and dominant fighter of that decade......came in decade defended titles at 130, and won titles at 4 higher weights, and ended undefeated. Both quite controversial though. I think Floyd's win over Canelo is better but wouldn't argue with you. I agree that Floyd’s win vs Canelo looks better and better. I think we’d love to see Nelo fight a young lion that ends up being the face of the sport and the eventual p4p. When u look at it that way, it’s gonna be hard to duplicate. Ward was a bit of a part time fighter. The W’s Ward gets on paper beating Kovalev is worth more than watching them with ur own eyes.

Canelo, Ward and Chocolatito had their whole careers or the best work of their careers in this decade, Mayweather didn't. However, he still had some good wins and probably deserves it. Manny didnt deserve it last decade he lost to a past prime Erik Morales scraped a draw vs Marquez a guy he dropped multiple rounds but lost more of the rounds, and clearly was not the best fighter of that span...mayweather was.....undefeated and won titles in 4 divisions.....3 were lineal started decade as undefeated junior lightweight champion only had one close fight the entire decade whereas Manny had wars and struggles its not about popularity but winning and talent. Nah pac deserved it last decade. He had the more memorable fights..the more memorable wins. He dominated prime barrera when nobody thought he would. Floyd was good from the beginning but his wins are just wins.. nothing memorable about them.. we can say they’re all expected from the judahs and baldomirs of the world. Pac had upset victories.. teary eyed worthy wins. First time an asian captivated the world like he did.. first time an asian went hand in hand with an american fighter on ppv sales. In total Mayweather retired 8 years from boxing so technically he retired at the age of 34 years while Manny is still active and had been in more wars. Damn You Floyd groupies thinking his been fighting for 20 years plus as a pro.
