I don't really have an issue with the Manny pick as FOTY, however I still feel like Canelo's wins are still worth more. Perhaps if Thurman hadn't looked like trash in his comeback fight, then perhaps. People will point to Kov being on the decline but his performance against Yarde was damn near perfect, with the exception of one 1 round. Thurman got splattered throughout against an absolute journeyman and he was an enormously overwhelming favorite going in. The Kov vs Yarde odds were much closer. (not to mention he was a highly touted unbeaten ko artist) Inspite of typing all that, call it how you see it! Canelo for me Thurman handily beat Josesito Lopez who might be a journeyman but isn’t a punching bag. PAC had two awesome fights against Broner and Thurman whom he both dominated. Keith was the prime, undefeated welterweight champ being called out by Spence and Crawford both. Manny got the fight and picked him apart.
