I remember that fight very clearly, they both came out boxing and it was pretty clear that Zab was sharper and faster than Floyd, something nobody was expecting, that was also the case with Crawford and Kavaliauskas last night, Crawford was getting timed, countered and even outsmarted in almost all the exchanges early on.
Floyd just like Terence had a chip on his shoulder so he couldn't live with that so he marched forward rather recklessly and got caught by a right hook that sent him down, just like Terence was also knocked down against Kavaliauskas, and both didn't get called knockdowns.
Then as the fight went on, the championship qualities of Floyd started showing, he bit down and kept marching forward throwing nasty body shots that significantly slowed down Zab, he showed that there are a lot more aspects to his game than just boxing and moving, he can do it all if he has to and was on the verge of stopping Zab before Zab threw one of the best uppercuts to the balls that I've ever seen. Terence did the exact same thing like a true champion and kept pushing the issue and got the stoppage.
Great show of versatility and mental toughness from Terence just like Floyd back in the day, it's just a shame that Kavaliauskas doesn't have the name or the credentials Zab Judah had at the time and therefore Terence is never going to have the recognition and the success Floyd has had because he has the worst management team in boxing. Nevertheless congrats to him and hopefully he wakes up one day and makes the right decisions for himself.
