Just asking for thoughts.
I guess Fury - Klitschko is the biggest heavyweight fight ever.
It has been 4 years since that fight took place. And Fury is still N. 1. Wow.
Fury was a fringe contender before facing Vladimir,, don`t forget that. Nobody thought he even had a chance.

I have actually been researching this very topic to determine fighters of the decade in each division. In regards to Tyson Fury, he earned the #1 ranking for 2015 by defeating Wladimir Klitschko and then held it by default in 2016 and 2017 even though he didn't fight during that time (and thus denied Wlad the opportunity to avenge his loss). He finally lost that top spot due to inactivity and AJ was #1 until Ruiz pulled the upset. I scored Wilder-Fury 1 for Fury and his ranking is based on his performances against his biggest threats (Wlad, Wilder) while Joshua's is more of an accumulation of being the best of the rest (Dillian Whyte, Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, Andy Ruiz Jr. and possibly Kubrat Pulev next). In summary, it looks like the Ring magazine ratings value beating the number 1 guy over running through the rest of the top 10. That, like anything else, is subjective.
One of these recently got KNOCKED OUT by a significant underdog while showing his mouthpiece to the ref.
That moment alone, especially since it wasn't avenged by similar or better performance, nullifies any #1 consideration.
You didn’t notice that he just avenged the defeat with a near perfect boxing exhibition then? 😂
This comes down to Ring being entitled to deem in reality, that Fury clearly beat Wilder.
Which, he did.
Wilder should have a loss.
And unlike Joshua whom has a lot of belts and has beaten bigger names and ranked fighters, he hasn't avenged it.
Fairly clear to me that its
Fury
Joshua
Wilder
But this is the game of it all I guess. Need them to fight each other.
Fury has beaten 1 fighter in the top 10 (yes he beat Wilder)
Wilder has beaten 1 too.
Joshua has beaten 4.
So it makes perfect sense to have Wilder and Fury above Joshua. :dunce:
Joshua got knocked the **** out by unranked boxer by the ring magazine doe...
Also Breazeale, Ortiz were both in the ring top 10 this year
You folks need to understand that ratings change continuously...meaning they are CURRENT rating. This is for those bringing old fights into the discussion.
last 1 year
Wilder fought 3 top 10 (including top 5) fighters with 1 draw and 2 spectacular wins
Fury fought 3 fights with 1 draw and two wins.
Joshua fought 2 fights against someone who was not top 10 and got KO'ed before fighting him again to win. Prior to that, he won against Povetkin.
It's no different than the other governing bodies being owned by promoters in everything but name. It's just more honest this way.
Everybody knows Arum and Warren pretty much have the WBO at their beck and call. The WBC is extremely cozy with PBC. The WBA will hand out a world title belt to anyone who asks politely, so nobody has to even try to corrupt them.
That's why the TBRB is what matters.
And either way, both the TBRB and Ring have Wilder and Fury 1/2 or 2/1, so that means the rematch will be for the vacant lineal and vacant Ring titles as well as Wilder's WBC.
Vacant lineal title? This is getting stupid.
Fury is no1 he beat wilder, we all saw it with our own eyes.
Wilder might ko fury in first round in rematch. But that will have to wait for February for wilder to take furys spot

I’ve said it before; Wilder should be #1 on all HW lists IMO, until someone can clearly win against him (no knocks on what Fury did, but I had that a draw).
Two is a toss up between Fury and Joshua, you could make an argument for either of them. I could make an argument for either of them depending on my mood that day.
In order of best 8 wins (my opinion):
Joshua:
Klitschko, Parker, Povetkin, Whyte, Ruiz, Takam, Breazeale, Johnson
Fury:
Klitschko, Chisorax2, Hammer, Johnson, Schwarz, pianeta, Seferi
Wilder:
Ortiz x2, Brezeale, Washington, Stiverne x2, Arreola, szpilka
Whether you agree with my top8 and ordering or not - Anyone who looks anything at the resumes at all will very quickly rank Joshua, Wilder and Fury in that order. It’s not even close.
Explain how what i said is tarded you silly little idiot. :dunce:
You have gone to the deep end with you fanboyism. It looks like you are off you meds.

Well deserved. Fury dethroned Wlad after an 11 year undisputed reign and hasn't lost since, facing nothing but undefeated lions. Real killers. The rest of the top 10 need to step up and challenge Fury if they aren't mandated by the sanctioning bodies.
Just for arguments sake...
Say Wilder lost on points against Fury. Then bounced back against Breazeale and Ortiz.
And
Fury got the Wilder win on points but was then stopped on cuts by Wallin after beating Schwarz.
And
Joshua lost to Ruiz, before avenging it in Saudi.
What would your ratings be?
The margins are pretty fine - these are judgement calls that could have easily happened. Yet people are adamant that one fighter is the best... would the exact same fights with slightly different but justifiable decisions by two people have changed your thinking?

There would be no argument about this if people accepted the judge's decision. If you argue that the judges are corrupt, then how much more a biased is an owned publication like Ring? Fury beat Klitschko and didn't fight for three years, while Wilder was defending his belts. Fury came back, drew with Wilder and fought two lower-ranked fighters. Wilder beat Stiverne twice and Ortiz twice and comprehensive beat every man he has faced. Why is Fury number one? or even ahead of AJ for that matter?. AJ beat Klitschko and comprehensive beat the man who had beat him. That's why we have data. Let the results speak for themselves.

Having wilder or fury at #1 is understandable.
I think these rankings are fine.
Another reason is some fighters get stoppages through accumulation where it takes them many clean shots to stop a fighter. That's Tyson Fury. He's a pillow puncher. Ruiz is by far a bigger puncher.
