I hope he is rushing and hurting his chances. He is an arrogant disrespectful bragger who says he is taking over the sport. I don't like the guy and hope he fails. I don't want him to become a big star. If he is good enough then so be it. If he can beat everyone then he deserves it but I don't think he is good enough to back up his big mouth. Is fighting for a world title after only 14 pro fights rushing things? Yes it is but that is his decision. If it was up to him he would have already fought Loma. - -If up to U, U be a cat.

Just like Haney he can’t make 135 for long. And is only draining himself for Loma. After that he’s moving up.

Whether he is rushing or not remains to be seen but he has asked for this opportunity. He will be fighting at MSG in his hometown for the world Title. Fighters dream of this opportunity so props to Lopez for seizing the day. That said I don’t think he wins and expect Commey to come out victorious. I’m rooting for Lopez though as a Central American fighter.

With Haney, R. Garcia, Loma and Davis soon to arrive, if he wants a title shot it ain't going to get any easier anytime soon.

Too late to consider that now, we find out Saturday if he is ready and as good as he and his father say he is I'm rooting for the Kid but Commey MIGHT be a bit too experienced for him but we shall see. It would be HUGE for him if he can beat Commey. It is the toughest test so far out of that next generation group of fighters (Stevenson, Haney, Garcia, Vergil Ortiz, Balderas...) If he lose then with him being so young, plenty of time to rebuild and work his way back up

That’s true. Commey is solid but as i mentioned on another thread, Top Rank has the best matchmakers who rarely fuk up. Commey is somebody whose capable of giving him different looks and maybe even a scare or two in the process but Lopez is supposed to beat guys like him if he’s the real deal. Was Mike Tyson or Ali rushing? Richard Commey isn't all that special. Solid fighter but very beatable. That’s true. He asked for this opportunity, he has been given that opportunity. If he is good enough then he would beat Commey. Then we can demand the Loma fight.
