I don't believe Andy Ruiz deserves a 3rd fight neither do I want to see it. At all.
This guy comes in and upsets Anthony Joshua beats him while not even having a full training camp and was just a cherry pick gone wrong. So he beats AJ and he makes history cool.
Actually I was going to do an entire long post about this but Ima just list the 3 reasons here.
1. He neglected training camp and came in overweight. His trainer I believe said wanted ruiz in camp by July and this guy doesn't show up until September?? Are you serious dude. You just came off the biggest win of your career and you're already slacking in camp.
2. He not only did not take Anthony Joshua seriously but didn't take the FIGHT seriously. What kind of dude wins and makes history but doesn't take the rematch seriously??? He obviously didn't train seriously nor did he came in at a lower weight but 15 pounds heavier. He also didn't take Joshua seriously KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT JOSHUA WAS GOING TO DO IN THE REMATCH. He knew Joshua would come out, box, and jab him to death and clinch on the inside and stay on his backfoot. Not one time in the fight did he push the pace or cut the ring off. Maybe this is because he didn't take it seriously smh. Then did the dumb **** of telling Joshua to meet him in the center of the ring AFTER he got outboxed 12 rounds straight in the 12th round lol. What a joke.
3. He made excuses and complained after the fight. This one speaks for it's self.
4. I believe the trilogy would be exactly the same as the rematch. Joshua would outbox and jab him to death for 12 round straight and clinch on the inside.
So I don't wanna see a trilogy at all. LET'S ALL REMEMBER JOSHUA WAS SUPPOSED TO BEAT RUIZ IN THE FIRST PLACE. HE WAS A REPLACEMENT.
What yall think? I'm already sick of ruiz with these excuses. He got comfortable got his 15 minutes of fame and now he outta there. If he's serious about the trilogy he needs to go back to training camp and get on the undercard of Wilder vs Fury cause most likely Joshua is fighting a mandatory next.
Fight on the undercard of Wilder vs Fury and then try to go back for Joshua.
But I honestly don't want to see this fight again. But what yall think?
I don’t ever want to see Ruiz fight again.
But like others said, if Ruiz wins 2 or 3 legit fights then f**k it, give him the third fight. If they don’t give him the third fight even after he goes on a winning streak then too bad, so sad.
I agree with that for sure.
I'd like to see a 3rd fight but Ruiz has to prove he can take it seriously. Get down under 250 and win 2-3 fights then make it happen.
OR don't, no reason to make the fight if he can't act like a professional.
I like to give a guy a chance to avenge a loss given certain circumstances such as a huge upset or a close match.
For me Andy doesn't deserve one right away simply because he wasted everyone's time. There is no greater motivation than to prove the 1st victory was no fluke. If he could not get up for this fight then he 99% likely is not going to get up for another one.
Andy likely comes in worse shape for a rematch and Joshua in better shape and mindframe given that he seems to have taken a hold of his boxing career again.
Simply put at this moment in time there are more deserving contenders who you know are going to show up to win and give 100%.
Exactly man! Perfect Response!
If Ruiz is able to beat other contenders and maintain top contention, then the sanctioning bodies should mandate a third fight. But not right away, as there are other fights for Joshua. It will be interesting to see what Ruiz will do after this loss. In the face of beating Joshua twice and becoming a PPV star, he chose to buy 4 cars, get fat & have no real plan to face a ready Joshua in their rematch. So after this loss, will he get himself together, get in shape, remain in contention and get another shot? Or will he sink into a pathetic state of depression, blow his money and balloon to 350+lbs?

Ruiz deserves a third fight next year more then Ortiz deserved his 2nd fight this year who arguably shouldn't be medically cleared to box giving his age and health who got knocked out already and suffered really bad shots going into his fight against Hammer who had Ortiz bleeding.
If Ortiz got his rematch under those conditions why shouldn't someone like Ruiz who went 12 who is younger ? Had Ruiz won you guys would be calling for undisputed fight but AJ won and the majority don't or don't want to hear it who support Wilder .
Boxing is a brutal sport. Fighters back then were fighting in later ages so that's irrelevant. I gave you my reasons why I don't wanna see it honestly. Also I want undisputed but Hearn and AJ already Bulljiving . AJ gon duck again. We back at square one lol
We don't want a trilogy, there's no good reason for it.
Top three heavyweights should fight each other while they are still good, Fury, Wilder, Joshua. I
Royces, Burritos, Lamborghinis and Tamales are more important to Ruiz than weight discipline and honing his craft. Thanks but no thanks, his days of getting 7 figure paydays are OVER!!
I would agree there isn't a need for an immediate rematch, but let Ruiz have 2 or 3 fights in 2020 and if he shows he's still got some grit, then yeah - absolutely I'm in for a rubber match.
