Usyk landed so many clean shots on Joyce..but wasn't able to hurt him let alone put him down. I am sure he must have improved by now and gained weight, but somehow it puts doubt over his effective in the HW Pro division. I don't see him hitting AJ or so easily and would get hurt in return.
In short, Usyk brings skills but lacks power. He will remain below the top tier guys because of that.
Joyce has a solid chin, but Usyk was hitting him so much, it would have been stopped in a 12 round fight.
All those heavy punches add up.

Just watched some more. Joyce fights completely different now and is a lot bigger. Usyk does get hit with shots against this smaller Joyce too. Joyce is a KO waiting to happen in the pros, he eats punches constantly. Usyk would have a decent scrap with Fury. Wilder, Joshua would stop him.
Usyk has improved, is bigger and hit harder too now.
Joyce is limited, but he is big harder hitting guy with a good chin.
Sound like anyone you know?
Usyk will not blow the biggest payday of AJ on a top 10 heavyweight to merely establish his heavyweight credentials. He'll allow the 180 days set by the WBO to stretch to allow AJ to do Pulev first, then AJ v Usyk at the end of the summer.
at 5 minutes he got hit with a flush right hand circling back to his own right..that would have been it against Wilder
He sees that punch and moves away from it.
Wilder telegraphs his punches even more.
We already know he's skilled. The biggest question is can he avoid the big power punches and take them if they land from the top fighters. Just watched a couple of minutes of that fight and Joyce was still like a sloth and throwing arm punches
Yet Joyce is landing these punches against the pro he has faced so far.
Let's not forget Cruiserweights are quicker and they didn't land much on Usyk either.
This fight shows he has the ability to neutralize the reach and height advantages of his opponents and he has the power at the weight.
Joyce is one of the slowest fighters i've ever seen, not really a good example of what he's going to face.
He looked a lot quicker here.
It is an example how the size difference is not an issue for Usyk and how he has the power to hurt and stop these big guys.
It proves he can beat Joyce in an amateur fight but how good was Joyce at that time? Off his first heavyweight fight I don't think Usyk will ever be a heavyweight champ but time will tell.
Not sure how this was an amateur fight, officially it wasn't a pro fight, but 10oz gloves, no head guard, 5 rounds.
Not sure about the scoring system.
Joyce is a big heavyweight, and doing very well in the pro ranks at the moment

Joyce is a big stiff robot.
Fury would box his ears off, Wilder would obliterate that stationary target, and Joshua would unload combos all day.
Usyk needs to fight a real heavyweight contender in a real pro fight. 12 rounds, no head gear, ranked opponent.
Joyce as shown he as got a solid chin at heavyweight, yet Usyk landed big shots against him and had him shook.
In a 12 round fight he stops him.
He got the power to stop the heavyweights and the skills to land this shots.
Damn Joyce is gassed by round 2 and just so open to be hit. Not the greatest test at that point but he did still have the dimensions
Joyce was a lot quicker back then, looks a lot lighter.
I wonder if he would be up for a rematch as a pro.
Yeah, you can see how Uysk footwork and timing can allow him to get in range land his shots and avoid what is coming back against the bigger guys.
