It's gotta be said...
Andy Ruiz's evident lack of preparation was shameful.
All of the "Snickers" stuff after the first fight was cute... ha ha, the chubby kid has a sweet tooth, but he can Box... blah blah.
And with all the talk about representing Mexico and his people, etc... and fulfilling his dream of becoming the first Mexican (decent) HW Champ ever... it seems like he was content with that.
Very disappointing.
If Ruiz actually cares about representing for "his people", he'd better come back dedicated, and comport himself like a real professional.
He looked like a desperate idiot begging for a trilogy. And he ghettoed out the joint by cursing for no reason. Post fight interview was kinda embarassing.
To be honest, Ruiz always looks like an idiot.
He wanted to play the Chris Arreola game in the interview. But Arreola would have given Joshua a much better fight last Saturday.

- -Why U misspell portly?
This is what happens when you let all of the fame and hype get to you and drown you. Getting to the top is one thing, but STAYING on top is a whole different ball game.
:haha: He thought he was going to be stronger. GTFOH
That was pure laziness.
He's trying to have it both ways.
Robles needs to take a stronger stand with Andy.
Too many "yes men" around the guy. All his boys, the people he hangs out with (from his social media) are all "civilians"; they're not fellow Professional Boxers, they're just pudgy guys from around the block. He could have better influences around him than he has now.
Please Mr. Ruiz don’t pretend with 30 secs left that you want to fight, you had 12 rds to go get inside and fight. What time is Shake Shack open to in Saudia Arabia? #JoshuaRuiz2 #JoshuaRuiz— Teddy Atlas (@TeddyAtlasReal) December 7, 2019
For all his chest thumping and Mexican pride he really stunk it up. Canelo must have been embarrassed to have flown all the way to Saudi for that shyt. Andy’s coach wanted him in the gym back in June and he doesn’t show up until September, speaks volumes right there. But, he earned $16M for two fights so he can dry his tears with $100 bills tonight.
When you really think about it, Ruiz is an overachiever, or lucky should i say cuz he wasnt even supposed to fight Joshua in the first place. He has earned more than he could ever dream of as a boxer at his level.
He is still 1-1 with joshua and has earned life changing money so Im sure he wont be crying to sleep tonight.

Gotta call it as I see it...
Particularly because of all that 'chest thumping' about representing this and that.... is why I feel it's fair to create this thread/topic.
Ruiz put it out there to begin with.

Maybe we should give credit to the other guy
It's just an honest assessment.
Andy Ruiz disappointed... and the reasons why seem evident to me.
AJ had the right game-plan, no doubt.
But he's susceptible; he's shown that many times.
