UK fans travel. Saying AJ is a US draw is like saying Ricky Hatton was a US draw. Sure both sold tickets in their US fights, but who was generating most of their revenue? Based on the UK audience vibe I'd say it was UK fans. The difference might be subtle to some but its a thing.
Well since he gets paid more from U.S than all U.S fighters who are actually from the U.S, we can clearly determine that he is in fact a US draw :lol1:
AJ came to the US & got KTFO by a fat guy. To most US DAZN subscribers he's a eurobum or was overrated.
AJ is f#cking huge in the UK. In the US not so much & most don't know who the eff he is if they are indifferent to him after getting KO'd in his US debut.
Maybe AJ can become a US draw & a cat who draws subs to DAZN but idk that he's moving the needle THAT much quite yet. Idk why you are acting like this is such a wild stance.
AJ vs Ruiz was by far the biggest fight outside Canelo fights in the U.S this year.
This AJ is a nobody in the U.S is complete BS and the numbers show that.
People are thinking Floyd fighting but I bet it's just a co-promotional thing. Dana can promote but he's got no juice in boxing. I wouldn't say Mayweather Promotions can't promote but they could use some help. Zuffa & MP joining up even for an event or two or on a regular basis could be good for both if this turns out to be what it is.
Yep. Its only a minute long clip, everyone should listen to it carefully, at no point in time does White say that Floyd is FIGHTING. He is using phrases like "a deal", "well do something exciting" ect.
The interviewer either preagreed to not ask or is just a dumb ass for not asking directly if Floyd is fighting.
Mayweather promotions is small fries in boxing, theyre a small fries promotion company over all.
The big fry boxing promoters wont make long term deals with dana because they see him as a threat. So makes sense a small fry like Mayweather promotions, gets White's foot in the door. Normally a small fry company wouldnt have the clout/reach but Mayweather is huge and any speculation that he might fight gets tons of free news. So they put it out there like Mayweather is going to fight in UFC, get all this free promotion out of it, then announce its some kind of boxing match or UFC match with nobodies but the free publicity is already done.
wtf did I just read.
List of DAZN fighters:
Anthony Joshua
Canelo
GGG
Danny Jacobs
Usyk
Dillian Whyte
Povetkin
Danny Jacobs
Demetrius Andrade
Devin Haney
Callum Smith
Tevin Farmer
And that's without mentioning the list of Olympic talent and everything else they have.
DAZN has the deepest stable in boxing, saying anything else is delusional.
Their roster is so weak you had to list Jacobs twice. Your delusional
AJ is a bigger or as big as a draw as any other fighter not on DAZN, that is a fact.
They clearly have a great boxing stable and to call it rocnation 2.0 is just lol.
You spoke to quickly.
If you want to sell $20 tickets. AJ is your guy!
Cmon man wtf are we talking about. The only guys who matter to most US fans where DAZN is trying to drum up business is Canelo and GGG and to a lesser degree Jacobs. Devin is still a guy people probably don't know but will care about at some future date. Everyone else is a Matchroom UK guy few know or are invested in or Matchroom US guys US mfers don't even care about.
I do like some of the young guys still on the way up but those guys got years to cook before they are ready to be served to the wider public in fights of interest.

Eddie was the best promoter in boxing til he came to the US. Eddie just switched countries not whole sports.
Also look at how much money DAZN came in with & while they brought some great names they mostly got a Roc Nation 2.0 roster.
Dana can promote but who is he gonna sign? Thats gonna be a huge issue for Dana in boxing. He has a whos who in MMA, but they have likely let go of better MMA guys to competitors than the caliber of boxer they'll be able to sign in boxing.
I think its key for Dana to align himself with someone with their foot in the door in boxing to make a good impact and the level of impact they keep talking about making. And that needs to be bigger than some Floyd deal. They need to be in cahoots with Al himself & be able to touch his roster at their leisure. And maybe this Floyd thing is step 1 on that path idk.
Should be interesting to watch if they do anything from take over boxing to implode doe so Ill be watching and keeping track either way.

You don't know if he knows how to adjust to boxing and neither does Dana because he hasn't done that yet. How long have we been hearing about zuffa boxing taking off any day now, 2? 3? If it was that easy he would've done that by now
He knows that he's the top dog in MMA and basically has the monopoly on it. In boxing he'd be one of many. He's also a cheap **** and would have to pay much more to his boxers than he does to his mma fighters which I doubt he'd do. Even if he did, how would top ufc fighters react if white started paying his boxers 5x times of what MMA guys get? They would riot that's how
He's better off staying where he is and doing what he does best.
There are very few boxers that make more than the top UFC guys. this myth about UFC low-balling is complete BS and simple research would make you see that.
Keep in mind every UFC fighter topping the bill on a PPV card gets a cut.
White would instantly be a top boy, make no mistake about that. It's not like Dana White doesn't know how to adjust to boxing, he's a smart guy. Certainly a much much better promoter than anyone on the U.S scene today.
PBC only existed since a few years ago, and where do you think they got their whole set-up inspiration from?
Even down to their name and their upcoming 'PBC belt'.
Take a guess.

White started ufc from the scratch when mma was an unknown unpopular sport.
Boxing been around much longer, and has a established format that's much different than ufc
Boxing and mma are both inside and outside the ring/cage two diffent worlds and that applies to fighters and promoters
Doubt white would make much noise

They've got a multi-billion dollar corporation behind them, that's enough to be a big player.
Add to that , he's he best fight promoter in the game, perhaps ever and he'll instantly be a serious, top level boxing promoter if he wants to.
