Doesn't really go for much when you've been training for such a long time, quality over quantity. Besides didn't Sergio Martinez start very very late on in his life, he was beating some pretty tough guys who likely started boxing from a very young age. Since Joshua was 18 years of age, and Ruiz Junior was 18 years of age 'It would be interesting if the HOURS spent training could be compared' or even in the last 6 months, the hours of both fighters etc I don't think Joshua is as naturally gifted as a fighter, but HIS work ethic is one of his greatest weapons 'A + for the effort he puts into improving, but it is apparent to me that? He may have reach some sort of ceiling slightly'. The only other option Joshua has to add other dimensions to his game, is to look for another trainer 'But in reality, there are very few good heavyweight trainers out there'. I believe Anthony Joshua would be the perfect student for Adam Booth, as he tends to like to work with raw athletically talented fighters 'And inject his mind/psyche into their bodies'. When fighters use to face David Haye it was as if they where facing the body of Haye, but the mind of Adam Booth. If Haye would of gotten to Fury at this time, the cause of History would of played out a lot differently.

Here is hoping we get to see the undisputed in 2020! On that, we can both agree i'm sure! ... Articulateboxin, dear... I have nothing against Joshua... In fact, before the first fight, I voted (here, in the RBR thread) for a AJ KO win, and i even posted that he will KO Ruiz anytime starting with the 1st round... :) :) :) ... and then I watched the fight unfolding... (and when I watch I really "watch")...

the crux of his defence is always going to be a high held guard and just being out of range and a hard jab to the face. Wilder takes a while to find his range against most really. The argument whilst he is waiting aj will be hitting him with jabs and right hands. It’s a great match up. I favour wilder. Hard not too. But it will be good. ok, ok...................... :)

... Sparked_26, dear (it has nothing to do with Ruiz): after the 3rd round (in the first fight) I said here that "AJ is done" as a very top leve fighterl... And it wasn't about Ruiz's performance... I only noticed how poor AJ's upper body and head movement actually is!... and AJ didn't improve anything in this movement in the last fight... So: I maintain that "he's done" -- that stands as a blueprint and now everybody knows for sure how to take him out... I don’t know about Ruiz anymore. His feet are just so slow. He could lose some flab but his feet are never gonna quicken up. He only has a bit of punchers chance against AJ fighting like that. Catching him high if AJ exits in a straight line after throwing a shot. Retrospectively I’d be more inclined just to blame AJ for losing his shape and hooking inside with a hooker with short arms which ended with him getting smashed on the temple. I think I credited AJ with recovering from that shot at the time but he clearly didn’t. And Ruiz beat the s.hit out of him. I always like the question who would you rather be in the fight? You’re never picking Ruiz are you. No matter if you think some of what he does is more nuanced. He was comprehensively outboxed by a man that would beat Ruiz at anything but eating. ...
