Do you remember the knockdown Wilder pulled off to salvage the draw against Fury?
Steve Bunce mentioned in his podcast that Fury seems slightly confused and called Otto Wallin “Tom Schwarz” before their fight, and in addition I’ve noticed he’s seemed a bit like he’s slipped in his skill level.
Anyone else of the opinion he may have had his soul taken just a bit by that knockdown? Head injuries are no joke, and I could see a brutal combo like that having some lasting effects, even on a big guy like Fury.
Can I quote you on that?
For the record, I like Fury but I have a hard time seeing him put Wilder down. He doesn’t hit that hard and Wilder’s got a good beard on his face.
Fury thought he was winning decisively in the first fight and maybe that is why he did not force the KO, but go watch it, Wilder was almost gone to a 40% Fury.
Wilder has an illegal beard literally on his face, most sanctioning bodies should do something as it can be used to cusion blows. Wilder was rocked in the 12th round ,if Fury can do that in the last round he could hurt him much sooner. Wilder also was wobbled briefly by Breazeale who didn't even catch him flush ,theres no evidence one has to punch extremely hard to hurt wilder and Furys trajectory of 85 inch reach punching down only reinforces that notion.
Fair points.
By the way, Fury wins the 2nd fight and you will see Wilder on the floor.

lol whaaaat?
first post?
Fury didn't take that much damage i nthat fight. The fist KD he was off balance, the second KD he was tired and so was wilder...he was never out..
By the way fury won that fight FYI
Seen much harder shots. Caught him off balance with the right, he was falling away from the left.
So, no.
I think fortunately for him he saw it coming at the last second and kind of braced for it...the ones you don't see coming are the ones that really get you
Fury speech wise seems like exactly the same guy to me...can't really comment on whether it took anything from him physically...but imo he more or less looks like the same guy he always has...besides the Wilder fight I don't know how many full fights of his I've watched though...I mean he definitely looks better now than the guy who struggled vs Cunningham
Fury is at an advantage as far as taking damage...in the sense that there are hardly any landed punches, for or against, in a lot of his rounds

One punch doesn't do that man.
A lot of punches might.
In case you guys did not know this is what happens with one punch : the brains disconnects you in order for you to feel no pain and for you to don't embrace any damage.
If the punch is so devastating the brain cuts the light off (in plain understandable ways) so there Is no further damage.
When you drown, etc, you just go into sleep mode and feel nothing.
fury showed alot of balls getting up and avoiding another one for the rest of the round
but i think it did something to him...at least definitley made him reluctant to want to fight wilder again
Right — NOBODY can question his courage. But the knockdown looked bad...
