Doniare did well but he def looked old and his legs aren't what they used to be neither was hand and foot speed.
Inoue proved he is top 10 p4p and elite but if this old Doniare gave him this good of a fight you'd Donaire beats him UD prob drops him to.
Donaire was a monster himself in his prime, but also not nearly as cagey and smart in the ring as he is now.
He has made adjustments the last few years and it gave his career an extension. That does not make him a guaranteed victor if you chop off these last 10 years of experience he has gained.
MAN TAKE INOUE'S **** OUT OF YOUR MOUTH BOI. YOU KNOW THAT DONAIRE WOULD TAX THAT ASS IN 2011, INOUE STANDS NO CHANCE MAN! :baby::baby::baby::baby:
You sound stupid.
I get it, it's the internet but you need a hobby.
Donaire could still lose to Inoue. Different kind of fighter than Montiel and Darchinyan.
Real boxing fans knows Inoue would be a big trouble against a prime Donaire!
He may have depended on that counter left hook too much but got damn he was eventually gonna land it and 8 outta 10 times he was gonna finish you unless you were the much bigger man than he was an even still he stopped some bigger guys!
Inoue’s defense isn’t that good and Donaire in his prime was explosive, faster on the trigger and wouldn’t have let Inoue off the hook when he hurt him like a past prime Nonito did!
It’s not a knock on Inoue it’s just that Donaire is a great fighter and would beat most bantamweights in the history of boxing!
Great fight that was though between two warriors, already watched it 3x!
Prime Donaire could still very well lose to Inoue as well.
Just because Donaire has a highlight reel from years ago doesn't mean he just automatically wins.
Power is the last thing to go. Most big punchers never lose their power even as they get old. No doubt Nonito is no different.
Naoya ate those punches and stayed in the game. No one can take that from him and I believe that presents a massive problem for even a prime Donaire. Who usually got his way when he threw his power shots. Different story if you can take that from him.

Nah, I'm just spewing facts. Donaire is a hypejob to exposed by rigo. And inoue got exposed by a dude that got exposed; this is like that movie inception. Inoues worse than a hypejob; idk what the term for that would be.
Your spewing something...

We can also say the lomo exposed the hypejob that is rigo.
Yeah, I think you're over hyping Donaire, maybe Inoue beating didn't sit well with you?

Inoue fought a bunch of bums in a weak division. Donaire fought a bunch of killers during his ascent. He would ko inoue 99/100 times; the only time he loses is when he forgets to cover his chin and gets tagged by a countershot.

Donaire's experience is why he did so well in this fight. He was obviously more explosive in his prime but he's a more intelligent fighter with experience fighting bigger men. Inoue beat the naturally bigger fighter and almost stopped him while having damage to his eye socket. I don't think any version of Donaire beats him.
No I haven't forgotten, that's one of my favorite Donaire's performances (along with his win over Darchynian). Inoue is a multi division champion and talented in his own right.
Saying Inoue would stand no chance is an exaggeration and it reeks of nostalgia clouding up reasonable thinking. Would you say prime Donaire would beat current Inoue 100 times out of 100 times? I wouldn't, but that's what I think of when someone says x fighter would stand no chance against y fighter.

You must have forgot what a prime donaire did to Montiel. Inoue would be in sleepy town, if not with severe brain injury if he fought a prime donaire. It's the truth.

Nope, you'd be crazy to think Inoue wouldn't stand a chance against a prime Donaire. I wouldn't favor him, but it's not like Donaire was untouchable or infallible in his prime.

You are tripping hard bro, if you think ANYWAY (Inoue) has any chance against a prime Donaire. Don't buy into that hype bro.

Donaire's reflexes were sick during his prime. I think Donaire from 2011 could have beaten the current Inoue, but it still would've been a great fight and one that Inoue could also win.

Props to Inoue for winning but I gotta say I think a 2011 Donaire wins. | BoxingScene Community
