What a fight. Inoue showed alot of heart to go along with his obvious skill.
Danaire is a warrior and can happily retire now. Great stuff
he didn't look like he needs to retire, but OK...
Inoue is to fight on ESPN from now on!...
Inoue has signed a co-promotional deal with @trboxing that was contingent on winning against Donaire. Inoue will now fight on ESPN platforms. He will fight twice in a row in the U.S. in 2020 with a third fight in Japan later in the year. #boxing #InoueDonaire— Dan Rafael (@danrafaelespn) November 7, 2019

Much respect to my friend and brother Nonito Donaire. He’s had a great career and put up a good fight, but came up short. Naoya Inoue the “Monster” is a problem for anybody at 118lbs and maybe 122lbs as well. Congrats !— Andre S.O.G. Ward (@andreward) November 7, 2019
I'm from Europe and I have to stay awake for all big fights over the Pond... :)
I don't envy you. These early morning fights just don't have the same party vibe as the evening fights. However, this was an awesome fight and worth staying awake for.
Inoue is much smaller, tbh...
i know. That's why I hope he just stays at bw and cleans it out. Or even goes down for a big showdown with Estrada Remember years ago when Chocolatito vs Inoue was the big fight of the future?
Anyone else saw flashes of Zaragoza vs Morales in this fight?
Truly passing of the torch
I don't think that Donaire was passing the torch... he was all in...
btw, I hope no one from Cali is complaining about the time of this fight like boxingego lol. Especially when all of us on the east coast have to sit through garbage undercard fights for midnight main events regularly.
a younger Doniare stops him in 8 or 9. I like 'em both. I've been a Donaire fan for years. I hope the man retires because I don't want to see him take another beating like this. And he only took it late. He shocked me by going toe to toe and even rocking Inoue more than once. I actually thought he was about to stop Inoue. We probably would view Doniare like he do some of the other greats had he stayed at bantamweight. It's amazing that he was able to make it now and have a competitive fight with this monster.
My advice to Inoue is to stay at bantamweight. I can't see him beating a lot of the top jr fws.. There is no doubt in my mind that Vargas flattens him.

Worth staying up til 5:30 am. Stood up entire 12th round. Made me shed a couple tears while smiling. Gave me that Gatti Ward type feeling. I don't know if I can sleep now...
I stayed awake all night too. I'm so damn tired, but that fight was worth it!
