What figure should it generate for Fox to break even
since Ortiz is getting paid in excess of $7 million,
according to Coppinger.
Luis made $500K in the first fight.
Wilder made $2 million.
So we have to assume Wilder will make at least
in excess of $20 million as the A-side.
PPV is dying. Very few fights can be sold on PPV well. No reason for this fight to sell well. DW already won the first fight and Ortiz has done nothing since
Who buys PPV nowadays, especially boxing? You need to stop lying to yourselves. Look at where you work. Not one even watches boxing. Or stand in one corner of your street and conduct your own survey. See if you can find someone who buys PPVs.
100% agree. They will roll out some number that sounds like it did well, but the real number will never be released because it's so bad. Also, a bunch of the tickets will be comped so they will act like the arena was full when they know damn well half of the tickets were given away for free. As I've said before, putting this fight on PPV is like reheating leftover pizza, and charging more than you did the first time.
Interesting. No matter what the actual number is, you have decided one month before the fight that the PPV sales reported will be a lie and the live gate numbers will be false because they will give out free tickets. Do you have any factual information to support this opinion?
Is there any way possible you could be wrong about this? Or no matter what are you going to force things into this narrative?
Maybe, just maybe, everyone doesn't share your perspective of what watching a fight on PPV is. Maybe people want to tune in and see this.
so you're saying Blue Blood Sports TV is lieing to its LDBC followers that Shakur Stevenson on the ESPN+ app had problems and couldn't watch it all? You're confusing lies with agendas. Get Widdit!
No Frankie, I am asking you why you believe this about the espn+ stream when you have posted several times that all these channels lie? Of course you knew that.
You've spent months saying they all lie and then when they say something you like, you quote them for truth. LMFAO! Pathetic.
Just get the stream fixed for this weekend.
your weight, post, means nothing. I'll repeat, Blue Blood Sports TV said ESPN+ has glitches and they couldn't watch Shakur. How do you think LDBC listeners feel about buying ESPN+ when they hear that? We've got the LDBC pushing Devin Haney like some good lads! You can catch the young buck on DAZN! Get Widdit!
You have posted multiple times that everything on these sites are lies. Yet this you believe? wouldn't them saying there was glitches during the Stevenson fight be a lie as well?
DAZN has accumulated 2.5 million subscribers worldwide. Blue Blood Sports TV last night, your LDBC heroes, said they couldn't watch Shakur Stevenson because ESPN+ had buffer issues and didn't work.
DAZN people don't need to troll forums telling people like yourself ''ESPN+ flops with Shakur fight...'' cause we better than that! We leave that girly stuff to posters like you
They all will not be watching the fight and you know it.
Ok, then when you are at the streaming service intern Halloween party this weekend tell the ESPN+ interns to tell their bosses the same thing I told you to tell yours. for someone that thinks the ldbc is racist you sure do spend a lot of time watching them.
No one is trolling forums. Posters commenting did so in real time in the rbr threads. If the Stevenson fight had glitches the posters on this site posters would comment because all we as fans want is clear, clean viewing.
The dazn stream was sh-t yet again. Get it fixed.
DAZN can't control all versions of Android or courier services, but you jump on the best mobile devices to date. iPad or iPhone mirroring to a TV is rather nice and easy
Tell your bosses that people that like dazn had yet another sh-tty viewing experience and to please get it fixed. There is a "big" fight this weekend. Wouldn't want the 200k people watching to have another crappy viewing experience.
And you lot, the usual suspects in these threads, loved the Motorcity Cobra threads with the supposed downfall of DAZN... so get Widdit!! Have a taste of your own purple syrup!
I have neither made any threads like that or liked any thread predicting the downfall of dazn. I have voiced my opinion about the service. I noticed there was another thread about glitching and poor service during the last card.
Note that None of the people experiencing glitches were LBDC dazn haters as you usually claim. At the next staff meeting, tell your bosses to fix that please.
I think 150k is a generous assumption. Let's not forget neither Wilder or Ortiz have any fans and Fury sold all the PPVs in their fight the first time.

Why are you making that assumption? other than trying to make this thread appear valid rather than petty and biased there is no reason.
We get it- you want PBC to sell a low number hoping this drives them out of business. Just post that rather than passively making multiple threads.
I highly disagree. I love watching Deontay fight and yes the last fight was exciting.
But I’m absolutely not paying to watch it again. It’s not worth my money seeing this fight again regardless if it’s going to be exciting.
I say it does around 150k buys.I guess you missed how much views fox had just on premiering Dee and Ortiz camp alone. That kinda shows you how much buzz this fight has.but regardless how much it brings in who cares we don't get any of it lol but should be another classic
PBC are lowkey the only ones making true big profits when it comes to to these high profile fights.
People can say what they want, but if Ortiz is making $7M as an opponent for Wilder in a PPV, that should tell you their financial situation when it comes to their cash cows.
Fox are not guaranteeing the purse its PBC I'm thinking it would do around 300-350K
Also PBC doesn’t need to break even same as Toprank losing money on Crawford, Loma and DAZN losing money on almost every card
what were you guys saying when khan/crawford might have barely done 150k and bob had to overpay khan?!?! same thing? or were you all like "who cares if they lose money its not our money Im not interested in the finances of these guys"?!?!
Where’s the report that shows how many buys Spence-Porter actually had?
In the Wilder vs Ortiz fight game article on this site it says the Spence vs Porter fight did 280-300K buys. I don't know how official that is though
I don't see it doing too well. People didn't have to pay extra the first time since it was regular Showtime. Oldtiz hasn't looked great since that fight, which leads me to belive his performance in the first fight was just a fluke, and has only gotten older. The matchup just isn't interesting anymore. At most I see it getting 250k, but I expect PBC shills like Coppinger to exaggerate the numbers like he did with Spence-Porter saying it was on track to get over 350k.
