In boxing you’re only as good as your last fight and you didn’t even bother to watch his last fight, not to mention he’s young and continues to improve so you have no room to talk.
Patterns are patterns; as sharp as he is, if he can't punch at 122, it's going to be a problem going forward.
Don't be dumb. You think this is Stevenson's first fight?

You should be watching him. Tonight he was blending in hard punches without compromising his defense too much. Just like Loma did when he got into the pros, and Rigo too for that matter.
Difference is that Rigo can starch you with one shot 118-126; and Loma for sure had real pop at 126 (maybe even 130; not the case at 135).
Stevenson seems to not be able to punch at 122; maybe he gets that by his mid 20s, I doubt he's still at 122.
Tonights fight was boring but that doesnt mean every one of his fights will be. A fight with Warrington would be a lot more tv friendly.
Actually that'd be a real nice styles mesh. Should show us how Shakur operates under pressure too.
Ha... but please no Stevenson vs Galahad. That would be be one, as they say, for the purists... :lol1:
Not watching this fight, but it's really starting to look like Stevenson can't really punch, and that doesn't bode well for his run in all likelihood. To that, you add that he's 126, and he's in trouble.
Guillermo Rigondeaux has some of the most beautiful technical boxing you'll ever see, and does fight in an extra defensive style. Still, he walks into any fight 118-126lbs with the power to leave you for dead with his left hand if he hits you clean and hard.
How do you sell him, at that weight, if he can't punch?
Huh? 🤔 Now I see how y’all jump to crazy conclusions on here you don’t even watch :lol1:
Shakur is boring af. I don't like his offensive ability at all. Inside hooks are wide and sloppy. He is intelligent in there but nothing special imo. Time will tell.
hearing that **** get called the "future of boxing' by jester commentator makes my blood boil, !
took me 5 fights to finally see 12 full rounds of this clown as i fell asleep each and every time,
! no mater if i start watching 4th round or 10th round, i never make it
so sleepy now
"he has skill" that's going to be the response you get. he's not entertaining however. Part of that isn't even his fault. He has such a huge frame for the division and with his athletic ability he should dominate, so watching him do the minimum of what is expected against inferior comp isn't exciting....it just isn't must watch tv.
You must have no sense for the science. The kid is brilliant in a lot of ways. It's technical stuff so I don't expect everyone to pick it up but to me it's fascinating. I never really liked him since the crybaby thing but I got mad respect for his skill.
You can respect his skills without being entertained. That fight was boring as hell. Is he a very good fighter? Of course. He will be hard to beat but doesnt change the fact that hes boring

easy to look good against a guy with slow feet and handspeed
