What I enjoyed a lot from Pacquaio is that he fights way above his weight and does it with such brutality even being undersized he gets KD's in almost every fight, a few KO/TKO's (he should have more but bad ref/corners didn't help) and has hurts/cuts these bigger fighters like a natural 147'er.
The question is will we ever see another boxer who dares to be great and does what he has done at that level who eats up to the weight, undersized but still hurts/destroys other high level fighters.
Who can be that boxer? Loma? Inoue? No one?
He never fought DLH for a title.
How do you not know this?
Hatton was unbeaten at the weight. Why did no one beat him at 140 before?
Diaz was champion and rightfully so.
Margarito was a beast, and proved the level he was at when he fought Cotto in the rematch, Only stopped because of the damage Pacquaio did to his eye?
Pacquiao gave him one hell of a beating.
Nobody beat him that bad, not even Mosley, and this Margarito was bigger stronger, not weight drained
Nobody else has come close in 200 years, and nobody will for the next 200 either.
Hatton was unbeaten at the weight. Why did no one beat him at 140 before?
Hatton was stopped by Floyd 153lb ring weight, same ring weight he was beating KT Castillo and all his other JW fights.
After Floyd stopped Hatton he went on a drug binge, lost his family and contemplated suicide, then dumped his life trainer and hired his conquers trainer, Hatton was a fckn mess who looked like ****, this was the Hatton Manny beat who was not a shadow of the Hatton Floyd already stopped.
Margarito was a beast, and proved the level he was at when he fought Cotto in the rematch, Only stopped because of the damage Pacquaio did to his eye?
A beast lol Margarito was shot to sht, a basd KO loss to Mosley then a 2 yr ban, then a 154 fight against a bum and he looked terrible, then Manny in a 24ft ring and illegal 8oz gloves at 150lbs for a 154 title , are you kidding me youre so starstruck you dont see the matchmaking and recent form of the opponent.
The reason Manny beat him so bad was large ring, small gloves and pull him down in weight, Margarito was a sloth and they knew they was not going to KO him with 10oz gloves so lets get as much speed advantage as possible and play catch me if you can.
The trouble with Manny fanboys is they don't understand the game to see how Mannys matchmakers built his career, look at his CWs , he even tried to CW Canelo to 150 after Floyd beat him , tried to CW Cotto again after calling him out .
Manny is a great fighter but you fanboys only see the icing on the cake.
OK, just so we are on the same page....
Diaz, Hatton, DLH and Margarito are guys that we should applaud Pac for beating WHEN HE FOUGHT THEM ?!?!?
That no other person, if given the opportunity (mostly luck) to fight those same guys WHEN PAC FOUGHT THEM, could have won ?!?!?
It's very important I state ''when Pac fought them'' because those names were pure shlt when Pac fought them.
He never fought DLH for a title.

What makes pacquiao special is that he’s the complete physical package. I don’t see a guy currently with the strength, power and speed of Pacquiao, let alone the skills.
For the very reasonS I stated.
''Lineal'', Diaz, Hatton, DLH*, Margarito....Give me a fuc king break :lol1:
Berrara, Cotto*, JMM and maybe Thurman. Good wins.
Pac was very fortunate.
Yet nobody else has done this, in 200 years.
How many million pro boxers have they been?
That guy is some fat slob who jerks off all day and has nothing better to do but spew nonsense on a boxing forum.
His life is pathetic and he knows it. He’s never received attention or love in his life so that’s why he spews ignorance and nonsense because that’s the highlight of his entire pathetic life. Lmao
BOOM. ROASTED!
Youre a sensitive little fella !
Wev'e both posted our takes. You hail those names fo9r you reasons, while i don't.
Agree to disagree then. But where is dishonesty in there?
You say ''do research''.....well, you should try taking your own advice. Or is ''research'' just another way of exaggerating a guys resume :lol1:
I did my part of that end. Yours?
Remember, you’re the critic. You do your part of the research too if you criticize a boxer. Or is saying ‘I don’t know that guy’ enough for you to conclude he’s not quality? Move on if you simply refuse to recognize
Hard to line up a collection of ''champs'' like Pac did. Champs that were there for the beating.
At best, Pac beat maybe 3 credible champs.
Yet millions have tried and none have succeeded.
You can't explain honesty. You either are or you aren't and people will know.
You say Pac's list of champs are quality....that about wraps up this honesty session.
I’ve already posted my take. Why do you consider that dishonesty?
Let’s try to breakdown our differences. I’ll put up 3 names - Sasakul, Ledwaba, Hatton. Tell me without clowning responses why you don’t consider them quality.
Now I see why this thread is long
What's with the (Not The Best Ever) whenever you refer Floyd. It's like your boxingscene trademark or something.
I don't refer to Mayweather as "The Best Ever" but I do have my own meaning of TBE for him (which I won't reveal for now, not a lot of members will be interested anyway)... So in order not to confuse people I always attach that...
Your ''research'' didn't convince.....
Diaz :lol1:
Hatton :lol1:
Lineal :lol1:
I stand by my critiques and accept you don't. Can't be a fan and be honest, can you ?
Ok, let’s do it your way
Tell me what honesty are you looking for...
i'm a big De Niro fan but that doesn't prevent me from admitting quite a few of his movies were shlt.
Pac bois should try that level of honesty.
they can't.. they are looking for a new hero.. everyone needs a hero??
the filipinos in general are very poor.. the lucky ones in the states are on pac like stink on schit.. like white on rice..
i know i am luck to be born in the USA.. when i was in the philippines for a year, and I met people with talent, frustrated with their lack of opportunities.. then i go to the USA and see people with infinite possibilities, who make excuses..
they vicariously live through other filipinos who joined the military and got a green card..
i am all about,,, i do not care where you come from.. i am cool with my muslim brothers.. my everyone.. at least i try to be... let the best man win..
i just do not want to see anyone perma damaged, like spoon or other clowns..
you are one of my fav posters... peace..
I went down your list of mostly laughable names one by one
UNDER their name is my take on them.
I see why shampoo has instructions.....
often,, ghetto me, used dishwashing liquid, or bars of soap to wash our hair..
now,, i can afford good shampoo, but i miss those days, when everyone in my hood, were all poor, and nobody failed to share..
his list is laughable.. silly chit
Pac's best win vs a credible opponent (excluding JMM) is Thurman, and even that can be explained.
If it is so easy to do, why hasn't nobody else in boxing has come close to achieve what Pacquiao has done?
200 Years!! Till this Day!!
any welterweight in the top 20 would beat that drained oscar,
danny garcia would of probably knocked him out cold and thats never been done to oscar.
even light welterweights would of beat that oscar, he was severely diminished. like severely. i just wish i put my savings on a pac t(ko).
if he ballooned up in weight to like 160, then the win would of been okay. but it seemed like everytime he threw he lost a pound. oscar could have died that night if he fought someone with heavy hands who knocked him out cold, he looked ill.
At the time Danny Garcia was probably 16 and definitely would not have ok’d oscar. I may be getting my timeline wrong but before he fought Oscar I thought Manny did not have many notable wins above 130 maybe David Diaz but it was a big step up in class against a much larger opponent. If Oscar had success early and faded then you can say manny won simply because of the weight cut. But Manny dominated from the beginning with superior speed and style. I’ll give you that the weight cut did not help Oscar but I am sure it was professionally handled in camp and he was not overly compromised by it.
If floyd wasnts a woulda, coulda fighter he might be up there with pac.
He wouldve and couldve beat thurman at 37 years of age but didnt. Couldve and wouldve beat thurman at 41 but didnt..Couldve beat nel o at 154 but preferred 152? Didn't actually need cw, could actually beat any version of nelo look how he schooled nelo? Couldve beat Ggg at 160 but wouldn't even do 154? Couldve been 8 division champ cherry picking like Pac but could only be 5 division champ himself being a cherry picking master.
It's clear if Floyd could back up everything he said he'd be able to do h ed be goat already case closed
I went down your list of mostly laughable names one by one

You have to do more research if you wanna play a role of being critic to a boxer. It lacks substance
Just because Sasakul and Ledwaba aren’t popular in America doesn’t mean they’re nobodies. Sasakul was a lineal champ for a reason. He beat Arbachakov (a HOFer). Ledwaba is a like a Crawford in his division. Not much resume to brag about but his performances in the ring makes up for it. He was an established champ and was also in a p4p conversation at one point. Look up his highlights he’s got skills.
Barrera, JMM, Hatton, and Cotto - no need to discuss
Diaz and Margarito - no comment. Oh yeah, Diaz is a southpaw you were looking for one LOL and Manny was close to perfection when he fought against him
112 -Sasakul for the WBC & Lineal Flyweight Champion
122- Lehlo Ledwaba for the IBF Junior Featherweight Champion
126 - March Antonio Barrera (28 years old, P4P No.3 coming off wins from Erik Morales, Naseem Hamed, Ayala and Tapia) For the Lineal Featherweight Champion
130 - Juan Manuel Marquez (P4P. No.2 Behind Pacquiao himself, 33 years old, Prime JMM at his best weight class) for the Lineal and WBC Super Featherweight Champion
135 - David Diaz for the WBC Lightweight Champion
140 - Ricky Hatton for the IBO and Lineal Light Welterweight Champion
147 - Miguel Cotto (145 catchweight) for the WBO Welterweight Champion (Better version than who fought Floyd)
154 (150 Catchweight) Antonio Margarito for the WBO Super Welterweight Champion.
It's easy to name, you're just too lazy to search because you want to sound smart.
I was about to name them too if you didn’t do it first. 6 of those 8 were solid champs in their respective division. Even if they try to pick the Cotto CW apart, there are still Bradley and Thurman who are solid champs in that division
13 pages and counting in this thread question? What makes it so long to discuss about this?
As far as ability to jump weight classes, only fighters that comes to mind are Canelo, Inoue, Crawford and Loma. Loma reached it’s ceiling, Crawford has like 2 weight classes to jump max while Inoue possibly 3. But it’s a loonng way really. Canelo’s ceiling might be the LHW. Doubt he jumps to CWs but we’ll see
Yeah, you right.
There will NEVER be another Pacquiao. Genetic freak of nature with unrivaled heart and conditioning for the sport of boxing.
It not just genes.
He where he came from, what he had to do to survive.
He started boxing so he can eat and help feed his family
In camps he would spar 30 rounds every day, work so hard, always improved his weakness.
If you cloned Pacquiao and set him up with the best trainers, he would not be the original as he would not have that mentality that was forged in abject poverty that had to anything to survive.

Will we see another Pacquaio fighter soon? (a great above weight fighter) | BoxingScene Community
