Why ? Because:
1. too many belts, too many fake champs;
2. too big pauses between fights for belts;
3. too big impact of promotors and media;
4. human factor in judging fights;
and finally
5. MUCH too big money for participating in fights.
You raise no new ground breaking points all of this is widely known and agreed upon. Boxing is not going anywhere.

Hahahaha brutal response bro.

While I can agree that I may have not raised totally new points, there were no such evident exaggerations as today.
I don't know if e.g. there were so many belts to win or you had to wait for next young Tyson fight one year more instead few months, etc.
Last but not least, we are in 21st century, for God's sake - why there is human factor in judging with all these cameras and processors ?
Finally, I can see that for the vast majority of young people here in Poland boxing is a totally niche sport. Even MMA meets their interest more.

...and 6. slow descent of amateur fights.
When a gold medal in Olymic Games meant something, box was popular. Now amateur fights went to the dogs and much less people are interested in boxing matches. Yesterday, everyone, even women knew who was Mike Tyson, now even healthy men don't give a rat who is Wilder or Fury.
