Who Should Lomachenko Fight Next

I try not to set myself up for disappointment even thinking about that fight. If I could MAKE one fight, it would be that one. It's just that we know Tank will never go there. Mayweather wouldn't have either. They're all about padded records. Loma's on a level they can't touch. It's ironic,too, because Loma is the one who should be fighting at 130, and Tank at 135. But we see the difference in talent and character at play. Since haney is running her mouth, she's the next best thing. We'll see how Commey-Lopez goes. Clearly Loma should fight the winner of that fight next. But if the fight is violent, and leaves the winner on the shelf. Loma should kill time killing Haney. Yeah. I ain't about calling fighters names, man. I know we all got our favourites but they all deserve respect far as I'm concerned. Just cos other folk do it doesn't mean you have to. As to Devin he looks to be a very gifted kid, I just won't be sold until he's faced a bit more adversity than Abdullaev offered. I've no issue with Loma fighting him I'm just not seeing why an elite world champ should be doing the job of a gatekeeper, but I'm not gonna hold it against Devin that he's asking to fight the best. That's what he should be doing.

This poll makes no sense. Valdez, warrington, santa Cruz, Garcia, Berchelt are not fighting at LW, are not mandatory for any of the LW titles or are LW champions. Of the fighters that legitimately have a chance to fight Loma next: 1. Commey/Lopez are fighting each other. Loma is only going to fight one, not the other. 2. Tank /Gamboa are fighting each other. Loma is only going to fight one. 3. Haney the WBC mando The only logical choice should be tank/gamboa winner, lopez/commey winner or haney. I will choose Haney because he has the attributes -speed, height, reach, athleticism-that IMO would be the most difficult for Loma to overcome. The other 4 men have better resumes but don't have the same attributes. A common sense answer, man. :lol1: As to my choice I'd personally wait on Haney fighting someone a lil better. I've no doubt about his skills and attributes - kids a phenom for sure - but I like to see these kids face a little adversity before throwing them in against top level guys, man. Sometimes they just fold when things don't go their way and I reckon it's best to find that out before throwing them in with an elite fighter. Let him face someone a little more battle tested than Abdullaev at least.

Voted Tank but if there's was an option for Lopez / Commey winner I may have gone with that. Both good fights but I wouldn't mind seeing Tank get a win against a current top 10 LW first to make sure he's sharp.

I completely understand from Loma's point of view why he wouldn't fight Haney next. My point was that out of Tank, Lopez and Haney (assuming Tank and Lopez beat Gamboa and Commey);Tank and Lopez have more power and are more experienced but IMO Haney has the attributes-longer reach, more speed, taller, more athleticism- that would make for the best style matchup because loma likes to get inside and Haney can do the best at preventing him from getting inside with his jab , reach and movement. Haney may not bring name value but he does provide the most difficult stylistic matchup IMO. I think Commey would be next in terms of difficulty.
