He took shots like nothing and his gas tank is insane. I don’t know who beats him. Someone has to have big power and stamina to go head to head with him.
2 ways to beat Beterbiev.
Ali style--float and stick and win on pts.
Calzaghe style. Swarm him. G tried that tonight but gassed and fought nervous from the bell. Missed too many shots due to being out of range,
Damn. Don’t think Bivol or Kovalev stand much of a chance against Beterbiev. Beterbiev’s run could go on for quite a while. What’s the toughest fight out there for him? Eleider Alvarez? I’m sure Beterbiev would win that too. Too bad he’s already 35. I think his reign lasts a few years. Good fight
He should fight Bivol and Kovalev ( if Kovalev wants that).

I don't Alvarez stands a chance at Beterbiev, personally.
Shoot I think Gzovdyk beats Alvarez.
One thing that Alex and Usyk dont do is go to the body like Loma. Loma is a vicious body puncher and works it off his combos kinda like Beterbiev did tonight while Alex does it in spurts and Usyk didn't go to the body at all his last fight.
I definitely agree.
I think loma is in his own class using that style. Unlike those two hes faster has better reflexes, and processes things imo better.
When Gvozdyk did go to the body it didnt look natural to me. The combinations didnt come in bunches and high and low like loma. I wasn't sure if it was because of what Gvozdyk likes to throw or the difference of weight.
Neat to see though. Personally I see these two as 1 and 2 at 175. I dont see Kovalev outboxing Gvozdyk or surviving the assault Beterbiev laid on Gvozdyk tonight.
In a rematch I'd pick Gvozdyk to win if he can adapt. He was winning the boxing match imo. It was close but clear enough for me. If he made it 12 rounds itd probably be a 7-5 for me but he didnt. Hell have to learn what Ali did in his first fight against Frazier. Fight dirty man. But props to Beterbiev. Hes the #1 now.
Artur is bear strong and he looks like a bear as well. You wanna clinch a bear, you get rag dolled. Gvozdyk was gradually weakening and losing his speed advantage quickly as he can't even perform a simple clinch, every time he clinched, the bear would just rag doll him and he ends up thrown in different places like a little kid, and then that pipe like gut punch ultimately weakened and sapped the remaining stamina he had.

Both stand a very good chance of they keep him on the outside and don’t tire.
First time watching either fighter fight and it was a good fight till the end. It sucked that Gvozdyk gassed but it was competitive through and through.
I dont see how Beterbiev isnt the clear #1 in the division.
Dude has a dirty ass style that I'm not really a fan of but it was super effective. If you don't have a gas tank and cant return fire or hurt him you are screwed.
Gvozdyk boxed really good and it's pretty neat to see how "papachenko" style boxing translates at different weights and individual style. He used the same feints and footwork as Loma and usyk.
Not knocking on Canelo but this fight really showed why he picked Kovalev and not these two.

He's a beast and pity he's already past his prime. 34 years old he'll get cherry picked soon by a cash cow.
yep hes a wasted talent but at at least he got a big name on his resume now and has a chance to unify and stack his resume some more before its really to late.

nah maybe not.
he said in the post fight interview that he is motivated now lmao.
so this entire time he wasn't even that motivated and still got this far.
now we will see an even more unstoppable animal.
Before the fight I felt like Beterbiev was overrated and Gvozdyk was N. 1. But now Beterbiev beat the man. That is much different that his previous wins.
I think Bivol is more skilled than beterbiev and it would be amazing fight. i don`t think Kovalev wants that smoke.
Definitely a beast, but if Gvozdyk had a better stamina tank he could’ve won that fight. Beterbiev will lose to a good boxer who doesn’t tire.
Agree 100% !!!!!!!!
