Usyk is good but I'm not sold on him in the HW division. Yeah, it should be interesting to see what happens when he steps up in class.
This fight with Chazz does not prove that Usyk is a threat. But it does not disprove it either... He beat a heavyweight basically not by throwing punches, but by threat of throwing punches. Purely with cardio. Which proved that extra 15 pounds did now slow Usyk down all that much. He may not hit concussive enough to KO big heavyweight, but we can't assume this basing on the last fight. Because he did not commit to his punches. If he commits, he definitely has some power (he KOd Bellew with a single punch). Combining with accuracy his power may be enough to do damage.
Funny how that works, huh?
Usyk might've had a tougher fight with Takam but I don't think Takam is good enough to beat someone like Usyk.
He's not. He's probably fresher than Witherspoon but it's not like Usyk ducked him or something. He changed promoters and ran.
Holy **** Usyk dodged a bullet. I forgot he was the original opponent. He'd have given him a 1 sided beatdown.
- -U forget more than that. Tak weren't there.
And I found it hilarious that Usyk just drew more people in the US in his debut against a bum than American HW Wilder does title fights!

Takam is levels above Witherspoon but ones a contender and ones a prospect
you people are genuinely stupid if you think a gate with cheap tickets in chicago, or even in a soccer stadium in england, does more in gate sales than a fight in las vegas, or even staples center.
to give you a little context i want you to look something up for me:
which fight did more at the gate, hopkins vs calzaghe in vegas, or joshua vs klitschko in wembley stadium? you will be surprised with the answer!
keep in mind that hopkins an calzaghe were well established to only be second best at LHW at the time, and a prime chad dawson was the best fighter in the division.
in short, stop looking at how many people went. look a the ticket prices, the comps, and look at the total for how much was done at the gate.
i'll make it easy for ya
hopkins - calzaghe did more at the gate than joshua vs klitschko in a soccer stadium with about 5x as many people.
And I'll make it simple for you: NOBODY KNOWS WHO WILDER IS AND NOBODY CARES outside of boxing circles.
He couldn't sell out a HS gym fighting Witherspoon.
What is the point of this useless thread?
I don't know the point either.
It's not like he's one of those PBC fighters who are ultra-hyped to the max,
yet unwilling to face real opposition.
Usyk wants the Joshua vs Ruiz 2 winner.
He'll also take on Wilder at the drop of a hat.
Point is, it's not hard to see him get exposed.
All you need to do is tell your idols to send him an offer.
Guess we’ll see.
Don’t let the hate delude you, you’re better than that
I call it how i see it, a lot of these euro fighters get overrated like crazy, I been calling them out since bute was ranked p4p on peoples lists

Thats why we keep having people like you come here to cry that boxing is a niche sport in america when you pay for an event through your nose and come online to brag about it.
With the US population, boxing is suppose to be a stadium fight filled with magnificent atmosphere.
You can com here to brag how you over pay for an event, it makes you look stupid.
Bye.

His skills are overrated, that is what I am saying 'There is not one area of his game which you can describe as great' he is just a well schooled boxer' I don't see nothing in his arsenal which is going to intimidate these heavyweights.
When David Haye most recently moved up to heavyweight it was clear, that some of his attributes where levels above what most other heavyweights had in their arsenal 'David Haye had immense speed, defensive capabilities and power'.
Usyk has what exactly? People just make things up, speak as if he is revolutionizing the game from a technical perspective 'Just the other day somebody on here, stated that he throws punchers from weird angles' Prince Naseem Hamed, Roy Jones Junior these where fighters who threw punches from weird angels, even Deontay Wilder does something similar 'Usyk just resembles a straight forward down the pipe fighter to me'. A solid fighter in every area but, has no attribute which can be described as great.
Comparing haye to usyk. Quite possibly the dumbest post in the last year.
As Usyk and Loma (already happening) start to get more attention/popularity...suddenly most of their 'fans' who claimed to like them but not someone like GGG, will start to denigrate and pick them apart...yawn...people should just try and keep it real and rate fighters based on their ability...and if you can't do that, then at least admit your biases and say you root for guys for XYZ reasons...people would respect that at least.
He didn't carry him. If he could get him out of there in the first he would. It's just the way he fights. He's not a big puncher and he doesn't take unnecessary risks when he's in the ring. Picks you apart and wears you down - that's Usyk.
Yes, that's how Usyk beats people and he'd have done the same to takam too imo, although it might be a bit closer for a while.

- -U feeling KOOLaide today?
Purple Slurple or Winky Pinky?
Adamek has the better wins, Arreola, Cunningham, Banks, Bell, Grant, Chambers etc.
Briedis isn't better than Adamek either and stylistically/physically they're very similar and he came close to defeating Usyk.
People get too hyped over the Gassiev win, he had like 25 amateur bouts and was barely 24 when they fought, Usyk schooled him because he had like a decade in the amateurs.
Witherspoon would've easily gone 12 if he actually had a camp.
😂😂😂Such a weak troll attempt...
