Have PPV estimates ever been so volatile? I can't remember sources ever giving such contradictory numbers.
Copp comes through with 350k. Fake Glaser says 67k. Bob Arum says 175k. And now multiple sources say 275k.
:pat:
Actually they did advertise, on NFL and on YT... some awesome promos.
GREAT video...

Yeah, I've seen this promo everywhere. Awesome stuff.
the REAL number is about 575,000 buys.
There is the 275,000 being reported.
And then there's another 300,000 secret Al Haymon buys that nobody knows about.
Cmon people, get with it........
Those are very good numbers for the current environment no matter how you slice it.
Arum and Crawford will have to accept the B-side of the purse split for a fight with Spence to get made.
Oh, now Porter is a big name? I am NOT all over the place. This fight did just about or a bit better than I expected it to do. Porter drew a terrible crowd against Ugas and averaged 1.6M. I mean you would say averaging 1.6M on FOX is a mediocre at best number, wouldn't you? Or are you now going to say that is a good number?
You make no sense at all. You keep saying he lost 20% of the viewers from the Garcia fight showing he wasn't the draw. Huh? How was he able to still keep over 80% of the viewers against Porter? If Garcia drew majority of the buys, than we would see a far bigger decrease. But that wasn't the case at all and he will be put right back on PPV in January. Think about that, a guy in his 3rd PPV in 10 months.
Crawford has done SO bad on PPV, that Arum won't even entertain a fight with Porter. He himself said that isn't a big fight and Porter doesn't have a big name. But you are going to now argue that Porter is this huge star? So let's put Porter on PPV in his next fight and see how many buys he gets… And it will be clearly less than this fight unless it is against Pacquiao.
Spence just averaged over 300k buys in his first two PPVs against two fighters who were making their PPV debuts. Like I said, he has clearly separated himself from everyone BUT Wilder from the non-superstar fighters. I know it hurts you, but that is reality. Crawford gets 2M "viewers" on ESPN yet gets 120k PPV buys. Maybe propping up the viewers by putting him on after Alabama football games or the Heisman Trophy presentation doesn't translate over to PPV buys and doesn't reflect his true name value.
Lol. He average 300k ppv buys vs 2 fighters making their ppv debuts. So was he lmao. And u try to gloss over porters numbers vs danny and thurman and broner. Like those don’t count sure buddy.
Sorry. Averaging 300k ppv buys and your buys going down vs an opponent viewed as a bigger threat doesn’t make u a ppv Star.
If that’s the case morales and barrera were ppv stars too lmao.
He did an on number. Nothing more nothing less. Saying he sold 600k PPVs over 2 fights isn’t some great number it’s ok.
And for announcing his January ppv. lol. He said he only fights on ppv and when you are making 9 mil minimum it has to be ppv so pbc can lose less money on his fights
u are all over the place. A no name like porter. What kind of ratings did his fight vs Danny garcia and Keith’s Thurman do LMMMMAAAOOOOOO? I have me dying laughing. A no name.
Spence didn’t do at least 275k vs Porter the no name LMAO. You are creating that floor. 275k is what most people are saying.
Porter drew bigger ratings than Mikey so was more well known because of those 2 fights (not to mention Broner-Porter) and u try and lie and act like this 275k is a great number when the fact is Spence lost 20% of his buyers for this fight vs a more well known and deemed to be more competitive opponent. So what will Spence do vs Danny? 225k!?!? Big ppv Star lol.
We get it your on Spence’s nuts. You compare pathetic ppv numbers for wars Crawford ggg for fights that didn’t belong on ppv to pathetic but slightly higher numbers for Spence.
And the myth about Mikey got proven true. Without the Mexican opponent (even though he had one in the co-feature slot) he still lost almost
60k buyers when Spence should be more well know. And liked after that fight.
Compare apples to apples if crawford fights porter next on ppv will the numbers be that much different than Spence porter? U know they won’t.
Spence just isn’t a big draw ppv wise which is understandable. Outside of one fight after the Olympics he’s never drawn high ratings when he fought for free

DAZN need to up their game.
Their has been 0 promotion of GGG/Dev this week.
Were are all the training vids and the thoughts on the fight from the trainers to the actual fighters.
DAZN is dropping the ball on this and you can't say any different.

YOU PREDICTED 200K BUYS! Spence at the very LEAST did over 150k buys than Crawford did vs Khan. I repeat, he at the very LEAST did over 150k buys than Crawford did vs Khan. He will have just done a live gate of over a million in Los Angeles against a non-name fighter in Porter. Let's not forget how pathetic Porter drew in LA the fight prior against Ugas.
Ward vs Kovalev I and II did what 160-170k buys?
Crawford vs Postol did 30-5k buys?
GGG vs Lemieux did 150k buys?
GGG vs Jacobs did 170k buys?
Crawford vs Khan did 125k buys
Spence vs Garcia did over 300k buys, and depending on who you trust, did at least 330k buys. Spence vs Porter did anywhere from 275-300k buys.
Are you in THAT much denial? You don't see a big difference from what Spence is doing opposed to the rest of the non-superstars? Only Wilder could compare. His fight vs Fury did about 325k buys and we will see what he does against Ortiz in November. There is no one else on the level of Spence aside from Wilder.
So yeah, you can try to sell the losing "20%" as a moral victory, when that is as flawed of a logic as it gets. No one was claiming this fight was bigger than the Garcia fight. What myth did get busted is that 65% of the crowd and buys came from Garcia. That was a hilarious baseless claim. How folks tried to make Garcia into Canelo was something else. There is NOTHING to suggest Garcia has ever been a bigger draw or name than Spence. They entered the fight as pretty much equal draws and then Spence still was able to produce against a non-name in Porter.u are all over the place. A no name like porter. What kind of ratings did his fight vs Danny garcia and Keith’s Thurman do LMMMMAAAOOOOOO? I have me dying laughing. A no name.

I just fixed your lie that’s it. No one said Arum was right either. I still don’t get bragging about selling 275k ppv like that’s a great achievement. Dude just sold 20% less then his first ppv. How much farther will he drop in his next one?

LOL, okay 300,001 buys!!! He said it will do over 300k buys and fall short of 350k buys.
So yeah, looks like four DIFFERENT people are saying it nears 300k buys. But yet good ole Bob is saying it may do as less as 130k buys? L-O-L, the old man is VERY bitter right now.I just fixed your lie that’s it. No one said Arum was right either. I still don’t get bragging about selling 275k ppv like that’s a great achievement. Is is it?
Is this what we have come to?
1 year ago people woulda said that 300k buys is a disaster and a flop, now its good numbers?
I don't care either way, but are 1mil PPVs a thing of the past?
True but this is Spence second PPV, probably Porters first. Especially in this era of streams (Legal and illegal ones), I think this is a great number featuring two African Americans.
DAZN is the Champions League. They don’t care what Show, Fox or ESPN are doing
That's funny because Hearn can't keep the competition out of their mouth. Same with Arum. The only person you don't hear from is Haymon.
That sounds about right, because the number don’t just come out the next day. It usually takes 6-8 days to get an idea of what the numbers would be like.

copp did not say it will do close to 350k buys. Don’t put words in his mouth. He said it would too 300k and not reach 350k. That could be 300,001 buys.

Coppinger said it estimated to surpass 300k buys and get close to 350 buys.
Hearn said it won't quite reach 300k buys but won't be far off.
Evan Rutkowski said he is hearing it gets close to 300k buys.
Idec is saying it does 275k buys.
Arum is saying it did 130-150k buys.
What is wrong with this picture? Coppinger/Rutkowski/Hearn/Idec are actually in the same ballpark, but there is one guy is going ALL THE WAY TO THE EXTREME THE OPPOSITE WAY.
And it makes no sense even bringing up the 62k buys statement since that was photoshopped and a bunch of folks here fell for the okie doke.copp did not say it will do close to 350k buys. Don’t put words in his mouth. He said it would too 300k and not reach 350k. That could be 300,001 buys.
