34 year old transgender boxer Patricio Manuel has become the face of the brand, according to Everlast. Manuel began competing as a female in the early 2000's, winning 5 national championships before sustaining a shoulder injury.
Last December, Patricio became the first transgender boxer to compete professionally, a fight which Manuel won.

It must have been a hard and difficult journey for this person, which is precisely what boxing is all about, to always keep fighting, so in that respect I got mad props for them. On the other hand, I am sick of having this stuff force-fed to me, so Everlast can go (unironically) suck a fat one, and moreover, if the point of being transgender is to "pass" as your new chosen gender, hasn't this person just shot themselves in the foot? It's like, yeah, well done, here's a gold star, have a pity-bout
This gender switch shlt has come a long way. WTF is in store for us in another 10 years :greddy2:
joshua and caleb two great names

"He won five national amateur championships and even competed in the 2012 Olympic trials as a woman."
Weird phrasing, is that the done thing, refer to the person as their current preferred gender back before they transitioned? At the time Manuel was competing as a woman, it was after that they decided to transition and yet they refer to them at that time as "he".

Considering the percentage of people who are apparently transgender the amount of coverage and debate does seem a little over the top, like it is a fight for the sake of a fight, sort of like this Everlast sponsorship.
Doesn't affect me and isn't hurting anyone though so whatever makes them happy.
:lol1:
That Abe Lincoln look is ret@rded, even more so if its raggedy and mangled like ''his''.
It's an abomination to God.
Hahahaha, like looking at a sasquatch that's been cultured/groomed and taught to live in society. Pulled it from the apalachians or something gave it a everlast contract in return for berries and chit.
