Showtime is getting out of the fight game just like HBO did. This will be their last year broadcasting fights.
If you're only subscribing for boxing, drop them now.
All PBC fight cards will be heading to Fox exclusively.
Seeing how HBO are out of the boxing business, yes I would say fox/espn are doing a better job, wouldn't you?
PPV on cable is like CD sales, times change and things become obsolete, it happens.
No one wants to pay 45% to a cable operator and only have it available at that exact moment when they can stream it on demand, keep the money and collect all the data, its just the way it is.
They vacated which is substantially different from going out of business. I vehement disagree.
ESPN sucks now because it's moving everything to +
I think ESPN and fox will do more to grow the sport as long as they don’t put it in an app like ESPN is starting to do
The commercials drive me insane.
How so? Boxing did just fine and in my opinion better when on premium. Are you about to say fox and espn are doing a better job than hbo and showtime. I surely hope not.
Espn, dazn and fox have been embarrassingly cringeworthy to date.

Sorry to burst your bubble EVERYTHING IS GOING behind a paywall now aka ESPN + HBO Max, Hulu, Disney + etc etc etc
Gotta thank the people 10 years ago who whined about being forced to pay for All cable channels LOL they wanted to only pay for individual channels...
Well you got your wish now people want to go back to the old way.
Not even that! They got out bid by Fox for the Wilder PPV and suddenly they're going to leave boxing? Ridiculous. Boxing is one of the few advantages Showtime has over HBO right now. Boxing is relatively inexpensive, especially since Showtime is being conservative and not trying to out bid the other players. They'll keep having their fights every month or two. They're not going anywhere. Especially when they just signed a three year deal.
Those comments seemed to personally offend u stephen

I kind of hope they move it to CBS sports nothing against showtime but I agree with Arum about Premium networks limiting the sport

Want to bet?
They're still in the first year of a three year deal with PBC. They're already scheduling fights for 2020. They put in a very aggressive bit for the Wilder/Ortiz II PPV. They just announced a PBC triple header, they've been building Claresa Shields, they've got Tank Davis fighting for a lightweight world title in December. All indications are that this won't be their last year in boxing.
So what happens when you turn out to be dead wrong? Will you apologize?
Apologize to you for what? Did his comment personally affect you?
They don’t wanna do a wilder ppv so they’re done with boxing lol.

Been cancelled HBO and Showtime for that reason and subscribed to the yearly package of DAZN.
DAZN like it or not is the only service holding down fight fans.
ESPN + is as terrible as Top Rank matchmaking thus I only subscribe for fights and cancel immediately after.
Got ESPN+ for Kovalev - Yarde and it lasted me through this last fight.
Appears to be last fight for a while
Until Teofimo Lopez- Commey.
